Yep, it will completely miss me and all my relatives in Newfoundland. However, it looks like it will pass through Vermont (where my aunt Dianne lives) and Thunder Bay (I think, map reading was never my strong suit) where my uncle Wayne lives.

Heh. I've never been in for any surgery or anything, but my father parallels getting nitrous oxide as "what happens when you hear a really funny joke and follow it up with a pint of beer". :)
My mother had some sort of "twilight sleep" stuff when she had her wisdom teeth taken out, which apparently led to a very amusing ride home from the hospital. (All my aunt can remember is her saying something about "clouds in the frogs" and laughing her butt off.)

This is like the old Bill Barretta thread over in Henson People: it's like going through the archives at a library. You get to see a lot of people that you've only heard of, and you get to witness what things used to be like. :)
