I have the first Muppet Annual that I bought at a collectables show, I knew nothing about how long they put these books out until I saw them on the Collectables section. I brought the book to Muppetfest and had Jerry Nelson and Dave Goelz sign pictures in it. Steve Whitmire saw it and looked...
I think the main characters should always be:
Kermit
Miss Piggy
Fozzie
Gonzo
Animal
Rowlf
Scooter
then maybe:
Rizzo
Dr. Bunsen Honeydew
Beaker
Many of the attempts at making new characters a part of the main group don't really stick. Skeeter never made it into anything besides...
I just watched the 2 episodes whre Robbie goes to war recently. I liked the show as a kid and watching it now i get jokes that I didn't really get before. How about after they put out Fraggle Rock dvds, they put out Dinosaurs dvds season by season?!
I thought it was pretty good except for some of the effects... most of the time the CGI Spiderman looked really bad. However it had a great score by Danny Elfman, which I hope they release a score soundtrack for.
I'd prefer Fraggle figures over Muppet Babie figures as well. Alot of Muppet Babies merchandise was already made It also bothers me that many people don't know the difference between the Muppets and Muppet Babies. Also just like how some people don't know the difference between the Muppets...
This is the first time I've heard of Solid Foam, I'm not that familiar with the characters of The Jim Henson Hour, just the parts of the show they use to show on Nickelodeon. What did Clifford play in Sold Foam? I just saw the Muppets at WDW the other day for the first time and Clifford played...
I agree they need more of the old characters and less of the newer ones. There's really no need for new new characters, the newer ones (Pepe, Sal, Johnny, Bobo, Van Neuter, etc.) aren't that well known to the public in the first place so adding a bunch of new ones will lose people even more...
I agree that Rowlf, Scooter, and The Electric Mayhem need to be brought back to be main characters again. For the TV show they should have guests but if it's not a variety show, they can have them visit the Muppet's house like they're friends, and maybe work in musical guests like having them...
I don't like the Journey to Ernie segments too much, they probably taped like 5 minutes of footage of Journey to Ernie for the entire season and then they just repeat them over and over. It's really too bad they over use the blue screen now. At least they show classic skits though, they need...
When I worked at Suncoast, I got to make an endcap of Sesame Street videos and there was a sign advertising some kind of Sesame Peter and the Wolf/ Sbarro deal, I think there might have been coupons for Sbarro in the video maybe? or coupons at Sbarro for the video?
Besides the money factor I also don't have much room anymore for my many collections, but I really want to get at least one bust of an Electric Mayhem member.
Yes it was in the final cut, I taped the show when it was on Nickelodeon's Muppet Matinee. It's a really funny musical number, it was also Andy Kaufman's last public performance as Tony Clifton.
I read an article in the newspaper about Greg the Bunny, it said that several Henson veterans worked on the show and that they went to them for advice. They didn't mention any names but they said that the Henson veterans told them that one gag was a little too much and they toned it down. Has...
