Bear arrives on Disney+ The beloved series has been off the air for the past 15 years. Now all four seasons are finally available for a whole new generation.
Cheeze Pleeze is a weekly 30 minute radio show that's somewhat similar to Dr. Demento - they play weird, comic, silly, or just bad stuff. This week they played the original Mah Na Mah Na by Piero Umiliani! I can totally see why Jim loved it and how he got inspired to interpret the song the way...
Giving this thread a (what will probably be an annual) bump - little retrospective before the new year's awards and having a look at the history may help/encourage others.
I'm also very disappointed and concern with how much Disney's dropped the ball as of late. They really seemed to have a great overall gameplan slowly building the Muppet hype and love and putting them out in general public's consciousness...then things slowed down - to where everything really...
Oh sure, there's no question Lips was dropped during GMC...
...from the plane at the end of the movie! <Statler and Waldorf D'oh ho ho!>
<Waldorf>: No wonder his trumpet seemed flat!
Not only that, but all the rapid advancements in new technology and gadgets just further divides the classes. With the economy in the shape it's been for a good while now, enough people are struggling enough being able to afford shelter and food. Not everyone can be spending the kind of money...
Dang - i know i saw something i noticed for the first time after how many previous viewings earlier this week but don't remember right now what it specifically was!
In the first season At the Dances, you can see a hole in George's jacket - i've always wondered if that was a deliberate thing...
I see the tweak the mods made to the thread title! The thing is at this point does anyone know for sure that it is indeed coming in 2011? I mean, yeah it's a very logical assumption - but right now unless someone else has heard something i haven't - it is no more than an assumption.
If the...
On the bright side though, you have the entire year to post some great stuff and have a good shot as opposed to say, someone who just joined during the latter half of December.
And if i'm not mistaken, you can still vote (Correct?) Because regardless of join date, you'd still be able to read...
I'm sure he was stepping in as a right-hander, but yeah, cool to see him joining the ranks.
And, since this thread has covered pretty much everything besides the actual performance, let me be the first to say how surprised and impressed i was at how amazing a singer Gwynyth Paltrow is...
Wondering who actually got to eat the cookies to judge them - the puppeteers maybe?
Wonder if David ever imagined that part of inheriting Cookie meant having to become a cookie expert himself?
For those asking about the performers...
Don't know who performed which puppets, but the puppeteering team consisted of Patrick Bristow, Julianne Buescher, Alice Dinnean, Artie Esposito, Brian Henson, Sean Johnson, Drew Massey, Ted Michaels, Michael Oosterom, Michelan Sisti, Colleen Smith...

and if that doesn't work, Thog's Muppet Wiki page currently has a link to the photo.
Whew - for a moment there when i glanced at the thread title, i thought someone was going to complain that Pearls Before Swine was creepy!
PBS is my fave strip since Calvin & Hobbes. Love it when a Muppet sneaks in!
If your speech is about how Jim affected media as a whole, one thing i'd mention is how back in the days of the 10 second commercial where it was hard to do much more than a very factual hard sell, Jim found a way to inject humor into the format with the Wilkins Coffee ads (which he later...
Aye, but there's the rub. You read the *original* draft - and movies always change between first to final draft and finished edit! Especially in a case like this where the main author is a freelance outsider so you saw the script before it was passed though the people at Disney and Muppets...
