Ah, I see. I wonder why advertising agencies get priority over other company when ad agencies are specifically out to make money from using the song when a DVD release like The Muppet Show would only use is as a small part of a longer program or show.
I would hope the cuts are, at the very...
Truth is, we don't actually know if the episodes will be intact and what copyright problems they may have for certain songs.
Copyright seems to be a fickle business. The Vincent Price episode on the first season set had the "You've Got A Friend" number removed while at the same time the song...
Plus, with the Muppets, there are so many different main characters they could make, with the Fraggles the main Fraggle five would be the only real important ones to have. Of course some Doozers would be nice too. :smirk:
I think it would a great idea but I'm not sure on how big the market would be. From what I gather, Kermit didn't sell as quickly as MR anticipated and I would expect the Fraggles not to be as popular.
Nice modifications they seem to have made to the MR replica since the preminilary photos. :p
On a serious note, when you see creations like that you realize what a great piece of work this new replica is. I think the guys at MR have done a great job!
April is a bit of a while away, nearly two months to be exact. Why did we get Animal in the UK before some of the US customers but Gonzo not until April? Are they beign shipped differently or at different times now?
The Collector Zone received Animal at around the same time as the MR website put him up as "in stock". The fact The Collector Zone know nothing about Gonzo being in stock at MR is a little worrying. :concern:
If I didn't know better I would have said those were authentic Muppet pics. Good job!
PS. If anyone ever had doubts about the quality of the MR replicas, this should put their minds at rest. As long as they have photographic skills of course.
I knew MR wouldn't let us down! He looks amazing, even better than Travis' (sorry Travis) pics. Sure, there are always things to pick at but from what I can see he will be a great addition. Can't wait to receive mine now!
I always got a kick out of seeing Sesame Street characters mixing with the Muppet Show Muppets and vise versa. Seeing Kermit and Robin going down the Fraggle hole was great too. It was like "What are you doing there? You shouldn't even know that the other exists". lol.
I saw it when I was in Florida in March 2003. I don't mind saying I felt a little emotional when I was watching, thinking about the fact that it was the last thing Jim was working on when he died and didn't even see it finished. I think I went back to watch it 4 times in all (much to the...
After all the problems they had with Gonzo, I am really surprised how quickly we will be receiving him. We have only recently got Animal! Here's hoping that Fozzie doesn't become too much of a problem and he can be released pretty quickly.
