    Yet another Henson/Disney article - LaughingPlace.com

Gotta love the guy's enthusiasm. :p Let's just see where we are by April 30, 2003.

    Yet another Henson/Disney article - LaughingPlace.com

Well, if I see a "Classic Media buys Muppets stake" or "EM.TV, Valentine strike Muppet deal" headline, the world shall feel my wrath.

    Yet another Henson/Disney article - LaughingPlace.com

Yes, thank you. Ask your friend to talk to Disney's lawyers, too. :D If there are similar rumors about Classic Media, Disney may have this thing set.

    Yet another Henson/Disney article - LaughingPlace.com

That's cool. As long as this thing ain't dragging out 'til SUMMER I'm fine. But tell me (if you could), you said you heard from someone inside Disney that Valentine dropped out. How is this done, did you call Disney and ask or do you have one of those mysterious "sources" or "contacts" that a...

    Yet another Henson/Disney article - LaughingPlace.com

The only unfortunate thing (for you) is that I actually thought you were a guy. :o But every guy I talked to, I thought they were girls, so don't be ashamed. Anyhooo, do you have a "non-concrete" idea when Disney would buy Henson/Muppets and library?

    Yet another Henson/Disney article - LaughingPlace.com

Hooooold up. Dang, you're the same DscveryBay I used to e-mail with and Instant Message with years ago! Heck I remember you telling me, as in your article, that Disney left the Henson people to look for their cars late at night. Wow, I didn't know you were 'The Fabulous Disney Babe' and Jim...

Send those to France... PS I'm not a France-boycotter, but I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to tell that joke. France is cool, though. Never been there, but anyway...

Eisner confirms Disney could buy Henson and Muppets soon

Well, the bulk of Henson's shows ARE preschool shows (SS not included). But as long as Disney (or whoever) treat the classic Muppets as the "adult-oriented" characters that they are, we should be fine. Wanna do a Muppet Babies- or KSY-type show, fine with me.

If Disney bought the Muppets, they would be on TV

Get off Eisner's back. Until 2000 or 2001, the company was doing pretty good, whether it be Eisner's CEO status, Wells' (rest his soul) President status, etc. I even called Disney a while back, asking about the Henson merger of 1990, and a woman said, once relations were strained after Jim's...

Eisner confirms Disney could buy Henson and Muppets soon

It will make sense if a company strikes a deal with Henson and NOTHING BAD HAPPENS. That'd be a miracle. It's like some dang curse.

Eisner confirms Disney could buy Henson and Muppets soon

a little retrospective 1984/85: According to Jim Hill's "When You Wish Upon A Frog" articles and a 1989 article about the merger, Eisner informally talked to Henson about a possible merger. 8/28/1989: Well, you know. 12/13/90: Disney, Henson end merger. 2/21/00: EM.TV buys Henson...

Eisner confirms Disney could buy Henson and Muppets soon

Sad irony: I find out that my 7-year dream MAY come true, while at the same time, I'm watching the President talk to the nation. Either way, it does seem that Disney is trying to buy Jim Henson Co. for whatever it's worth. What's wrong, Luke? Didn't you want Disney to buy JHC at one point...
