Your Thoughts: The Street We Live On

OK, that whole thing was really un-Sesame Streetish. Even the SS trivia game on the CTW site testifies that Elmo was never an original character, and as much as I love Kevin and admire his tallent, I hate the living daylights out of Elmo. (BTW, in my opinion  is becoming the Elmo...

    Updated Puppet Trials...

Wow, those look very nice! Wht are you using for eyes? I like them. For arms I suggest making a foot long tube of foam, then cutting the elbow out at and obtuse angle, so that each end of the upper and lower arm that are pointing towards each other at the elbow now have acute angles. Link...

    Hair on her heady-head-head

Cool! Do you have any pictures you can post?

Is anyone interested in a great books thread?

I really haven't done much reading because I'm slow at it, and have a short attention span when it comes to that sort of thing. However, if anyone is interested in an excellent short story in the adventure genre, read Richard Connell's "The Most Dangerous Game". I made a few attempts to...

Muppet parody puppets on Crank Yankers

Oh yeah, I browsed that website a while ago and thought the concept was funny as heck, but was annoyed that US TV wouldn't broadcast it. How can I get ahold of those episodes?

    Elmwood Productions, my puppet site

That's awesome! It makes me wish my puppeteering friend hadn't had to move to Pennsylvania  :sympathy: We could have had some fun... But it brings back great memories! I can't wait to see the show. Do you have a deadline?

Muppet parody puppets on Crank Yankers

Very nicely put. Do they even have writers for shows like this? I am REALLY sick of shows with a lack of thought behind them in which every other joke is dirty. Sixth graders could have come up with some of the stuff they do on this show. We need some imagination exercising on TV.

Wow! This looks beautiful. Thanks for finding this, Buck.

    Favorite Bert and Ernie Sketch

Wow, I just had to notice the irony today: Right after they showed the "Journey to Ernie" segment (in which Ernie is alone, without Bert) They played the old "When Bert's Not Here" sketch. It bugged me to death because I feel horrible when I see Ernie without Bert, and here he is singing...

    Favorite Muppet Movie Quotes

(TGMC) Kermit: "How come you don't have an English accent?" Beau: "Hey, I'm lucky to have a driver's license!" (MTM) Pete: "Is cow-juice and patty for lady." (TMM) The whole Steve Martin Waiter shtick is very quotable Kermit: "Bear Left" Fozzie: "Right Frog" Waldorf: "I've seen...

    Hair on her heady-head-head

Thanks! Actually, I died some foam red and cut out the shape of the tongue.

    Hair on her heady-head-head

Here's my update: I finally finished that puppet, and I'm quite satisfied with the hair... and very protective of it. I purchased some loose synthetic hair that hadn't been attached to a net yet at a wig store for $3 US. Then I went through a complicated process of attaching the hair in...

    Your Feedback: vBulletin 3.0 Gold

I LOVE the little detailed graphics, and especially the online/offline feature. Way to go!

    Conrad Love

His construction is exactly like that of Guy Smiley, except I think Conrad has a pointy chin, which is pretty simple to make out of foam.

    Conrad Love

Just start by drawing him out in a front view and a side view and then break his body down into simplified shapes (i.e., his head looks like a cylinder with half a shere on top, and his body is a cylinder -- there, I did it for you! :) ). get out your 1/2 inch sheet foam rubber, cut out a...

    Just Had To Share

Is lack of memory associated with the harmful effects of glue? Cause as I've been writing papers for school, recently I haven't been able to remember a few words of my vocabulary. It's either the glue's work, or lack of sleep. I am definitely using a mask now.

    2D Animation

Well, I'm not really familiar with flash, but is it incredibly difficult to catch onto? I feel more confident free-hand drawing, but I'd like to get into Flash too.

    2D Animation

I have a great concept for a short song I want to combine with a cartoon, but I really haven't done too much 2D animation. I've made some kinda detailed flip books (in high school math books) and done some clay animation, but are there any computer programs out there that anyone knows about...

    Jim Henson's Message and Legacy

I commonly use his words "I want to leave the world a little bit better for my having been here." That sums up his message pretty broadly, but I think Jim wanted to show the world how to focus on optimism instead of all the negative things going on. He helped me to see that light. Also, in...

    The Passion of the Christ

You know what? I can agree with you on that. Religion and faith is primarily a spiritual matter, not intellectual. We've stated what we believe and that's that. :attitude: Peace and farewell to you all.
