I agree with you on that one. I would prefer it if most of the Muppets were real puppets with the exception of the occasional Horace D'Fly. It does make more sense than a combined group of CGI and puppetry. Also, the thing is that I don't want to see a shift to all-CGI because fabric, foam...
By the way, I just want to apologize to everyone for giving this thread such a dumb title. Honestly, I don't know what I was thinking when I named it the "Beauregard" thread. I never meant to say that those who don't understand a joke are not intelligent--but somebody who gives their thread...
I saw the joke as a bit of irony. I mean, you're right; when has anybody else ever done a "monster-and-swing bit"? Perhaps a sketch with a man and a woman on a swing, but certainly not a monster! It's sort of making fun of the fact that the show always has unusual acts.
Here's the same sort...
Yeah, I agree with you that it didn't really look quite in-tune. But I have to admit that, in the theater, I was laughing! Muppets' walking (when we can see their legs, I mean) just seems to make me giggle. I wouldn't mind keeping the technology we have if it means that we keep that comedic effect.
:) That's cool!
Mildred should definitely have been one of the caretakers of the Muppet Babies...maybe as a carefree teenage babysitter. If I ever get to write Muppet Kids books, I plan on giving her that sort of a role.
Did you imagine that she would wear Nanny's clothes--you know, have her...
That is so sweet. I'm joining everyone who says that they don't blame you, and I'm impressed that you even had the composure to say what you did to Kermit! Honestly, I might just start blabbering and crying.
Also, awesome profile photo! :)
("awesome" for lack of a better word--I should really...
To all of you who have received autographs--that's soooo awesome!!!! @DannyRWW: I don't know what would happen to my sister if she received an autograph from Steve Whitmire and Kermit. :)
And I wish everyone the best of luck in sending fan mail and getting autographed posters! And persistence...
Those are really good ideas! Especially the opening--that would be great if one of the Henson kids could talk about it a bit. It reminds me of a documentary a bit, and having Kermit in a documentary would be perfect.
Hey, I saw this post, and I thought, "Bingboingcutie and I were thinking the same thing--in the same words!" :) I like to think of it as the same guy just because it's such a funny running gag that you have to pay close attention to catch.
Yeah, I could see that, too. In "Helping Hand" in "New Trash Heap in Town," it was a bit obvious, wasn't it? And yes, I know, the Fraggles are just puppets--but if they WERE alive, I like to think that the writers planned a relationship between Gobo and Mokey, but Gobo and Red were beginning...
Yeah, that last bit would have been a lot of fun! Personally, I kind of like the way Walter acted--he was a nervous fan at first, but because he was surrounded by all these creatures who were like him (and he would have been the only one of his kind if it hadn't been for the Muppets), he felt...
