DAREDEVIL, one of my all time favorite superheroes! Dude, I've loved DD for years, and he's had so many great stories from writers such as Kevin Smith, Brian Michael Bendis, Frank Miller, Ann Nocenti, Stan Lee and Jeph Loeb. Easily one of my top 3 fav superheros of all time. I'm also a...
I ordered the Dark Crystal Garthim bought off Amazon.com for $400:ouch: dollars. I'm not a rich person, but I want to have just one really, really spectacular and hard to find Muppet item, and the awesome-looking Garthim bust fit the bill. Don't get me wrong, I have plenty of other Muppets fine...
Yeah, I thought the same thing. It's clearly a knockoff, and the seller knows it, which begs the question, why is he selling it for so much:confused: ? It looks like Animal used it as a chew toy:halo: .
Jim Henson's Fantastic World is a great exhibit; I've been to it twice at 2 different museums. I especially loved seeing Henson's Muppet concept art and the display devoted to Henson's early days working in advertising. I'm sure it'll come to the UK eventually, but it's still making its rounds...
I'd want to be Dr. Bunsen Honeydew's lab assistant, just to give Beaker a break, the poor fellow. Also, I'd do a segment with the Swedish Chef, but request that he tries Hibachi, because if I live through either of those experiences, I''d be so much more grateful for life.
Just this past week I bought a Muppets musical jewelry box off eBay. Here's a listing that has lots of pics- http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Disney-Miss-Piggy-Muppets-Magical-Music-Jewelry-Box-NIB-Kemit-the-Frong-Ring-/330871457631?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d0979c75f
Yeah, I loved Floyd's singing. My fav Electric Mayhem song is "Can You Picture That," and I thought Floyd's (Jerry Nelson's) voice fit the song even better than Dr. Teeth or Janice.
The Danny Kaye episode, where Statler and Waldorf leave their booth for the whole show and Floyd and Janice take their place, is definitely one of their greatest moments together. Many of Floyd's zingers were on par with the sharpest barbs of Statler and Waldorf.
My brother and I loved Croonchy Stars. I got a custom fridge magnet made to look like a mini version of the Croonchy Stars box on eBay. Great quality. There were quite a few cereals since then that had the same taste, but none of them sponsored by the Swedish Chef:hungry:. My brother thinks...
In the original show, Scooter was at least as prominent and important a character as Rowlf, but like Rowlf, he wasn't as wacky as some of the zanier Muppets, such as Animal or Gonzo. Despite his occasional antics, Scooter is actually pretty laid back and normal. Again, I think this normalcy hurt...
Thanks for the pics. Love the Bunsen and Beaker toys especially. Bunsen was dangerous enough as a mad scientist, so I can only imagine the tortures he puts Beaker through with the power of the mystic arts at his fingertips:eek::eek::eek:
When she did her rendition of "The Entertainer" in the Milton Berle episode. It had none of the charm or passion of Berle's performance. Rowlf was the best thing about that number.
Huh:confused:. Spoiler. Anyway, I'm hoping it bombs, because Franco is only good at playing stoners, and if Disney wanted to make an Oz prequel they should've just bought the rights to Wicked, which already has a fanbase all its own.
I think that poster of Rachel Weisz dressed in what looks like a trashy Halloween costume as the Wicked Witch of the West sums up the film pretty well. Of course, for legal reasons, Disney wanted their Wicked Witch to look as different as possible from that of the MGM classic, and I think they...
As a fan of the 1939 classic, as well as Disney's unofficial (and criminally underrated) sequel "Return to Oz" and Baum's original books, I have to say I am not interested. I've seen clips and heard sound bites, and at some points it sounds like Franco isn't even trying. I'm not a fan of Franco...
That's what I figured:sympathy: . I feel really dumb for selling my Plan B Labyrinth sitting Goblin statue, but at the time I was strapped for cash and didn't have a job. From looking at the pics I think the plushes lack Froud's signature look which Plan B's statue captured so well.
