Actually, the crawling looks like a pretty simple effect. If you look closely, they hardly move at all. It's very likely that small trenches were made and the puppeteers just operated them as normal (with extra puppeteers operating the limbs). The...
Agreed. Or, if he didn't have access to those interviews, he could have at least read up on the guy! Read "The Works" and "Street Gang." Wander around Muppet Wiki for a few months (if for no other reason than to have the errors from "The Works" and "Street Gang" corrected). Take in everything...
Well, I don't think it really matters that the human lead is a big name actor. After all, I'm going to see the movie for the Muppets, and they're as big a name as they come.
And, remember, the humans from TMTM weren't exactly well known. Segel is fairly popular here, but I think a huge star...
Yeah, I agree with the Muppet Mindset's review of MupOz. Miss Piggy shouldn't have been the bad guy. Muppets aren't as evil as the witch was in that movie.
But, yes, there's supposed to be a bad guy in the next Muppet movie, at least the first draft had one. The evil Oil Tycoon.
I do agree with you, but Segel's pointed out in interviews that the human "leads" are based on Jenny and Ronnie from The Muppets Take Manhattan. Not specifically based on those characters, but meaning that that's the kind of "human lead" one could expect.
And I voted for Charles Grodin...
I'm not far into reading this, but I have to nitpick a little. I understand that writers can take a little "artistic liscence," but to blatantly ignore the facts? The events on pages 13 and 14 can be viewed on YouTube here, and it is obvious that the author watched this clip... yet he still...
I guess I was six or seven when Steve first took over Ernie, but I always understood the "new voice" thing. I new Jim was gone when I was a kid, but that Kermit was not. And remember, there was about 15 years of Sesame Street where kids were not confused. Honestly, to suggest that they would be...
Yes, I say it's about time Mickey Mouse got his own movie. I mean, the most populay cartoon character in history, he's been in the business for some eighty years... and he's never had his own movie?
This might not be accurate, but according to Google translate, "So is life" becomes "hivyo ni uzima" in Swahili. But the Swedish Chef would say, "så är livet." ;)
Biopic or tribute, it's still an inaccurate script. I mean, the idea is nice, but I only read the first five pages and could see a lot of mistakes.
It's true Jim was human, and there's much about his life that one could find fault with. But to paint him as a wholly sad, depressing individual...
Hey, no condensation (condestination?) meant. Just seemed you used da "whoms" alot, good suh. And, I don't mean to be rude, but it seems you may have mis-quoted me, Haunted Puppets. I didn't write the word "who" in bold. Now, that would have been compensating. :p
My point was that some of the...
People who build puppets aren't all that secretive. And, honestly, sometimes you have to do it yourself. There's a million ways to make a puppet, and it really boils down to trial and error. But, again, the puppet builders on here have been very helpful. I've learned A LOT about building puppets...
I don't know as I agree with that. Part of the reason he wanted to sell his company to Disney is so he would have more time to focus on the Muppets and whatever else he wanted to do. He was really just getting too wrapped up in the business end of things, and wanted to return to performing and...
It's a shame "Princess and the Frog" did so poorly. I think it was the best Disney movie since "The Lion King!" Looooove the music, especially.
Not sure what I think of the change for Rapunzel. But, I will say that they had to change the title of "Princess and the Frog" too... and it didn't...
I have...
