Leland Henson Museum on Turner South Network

And in a nutshell, it was an at-least 5 minute segment at the beginning of the show. They talked to a couple of Jim's childhood friends, interviewed at the creek where they used to play. The exhibit, located near the creek, has many of pictures of Jim with his family and his Muppets. There are...

Leland Henson Museum on Turner South Network

Well I didn't forget, it was a nice segment about the Frog Exhibit. But I'll let Cindy or someone else talk about it. According to the Turner South web site, this episode repeats (all times EST): Fri., 8/20 at 8:30pm Sat., 8/21 at 3pm Wed., 9/22 at 10:30pm Sat., 9/25 at 3pm It was a...

    Mopatop and Hoobs

Yeah, they're part of Henson's "Family Classics" library. So HIT has the rights to these for the next 5 years. As for Beaker and ravagefrackle, how were you two able to see the two shows? Did you visit the UK or saw them at MT&R or neither? I have never see them, but Mopatop LOOKS like a good...

What did Henson start before his death?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2245063401 Scroll down to the third picture on the right, and you'll see the pic. It's like a green silhouette. I won the item on eBay in May, but I don't have a scanner.

Do you like Disney owning the Muppets?

IF what you are saying is true, good. But I'm more curious about the products. Because if you were ever to see the name "Disney's Muppets," as opposed to "Jim Henson's Muppets," it would most likely be there on the merchandise than the TV shows or movies. If "Jim Henson" stays, I'll be...

Do you like Disney owning the Muppets?

I know you know your Disney stuff. I'm not talking about that. I am referring to THE "Disney" brand. When you see that, it's not referring to "assets of The Walt Disney Company" like ESPN or Miramax or Touchstone. It's attached to stuff coming from Walt Disney Pictures, Disney Channel, Disney...

Do you like Disney owning the Muppets?

Again, we don't know. Disney did not buy "Jim Henson's" as part of the deal. It's up to Henson and Disney.

Paramount Parks to build theme park in Japan!

Actually, it was in 1991 that Great American Communications (who earlier bought Taft) sold Hanna-Barbera to Turner Broadcasting. Nothing to do with Paramount Parks, but I thought I'd throw that in there.

    The Muppets head for Oz

Just to correct a few things: Muppets Tonight aired 22 episodes between ABC and Disney Channel, not HBO. MFS was a bomb, but the NBC movie was rather successful with 11 million viewers. As for Disney, we'll see how that works out.

Do you like Disney owning the Muppets?

No, it's not. Disney did not buy the "Jim Henson" brand name as part of the deal, they bought the "Muppets" and "Bear in the Big Blue House" and everything associated with them. "Muppets" and "Bear," like "Fraggle Rock" and other shows, were created by The Jim Henson Company, thus the JH logo...
