Ed, my friend, I don't blame you at all for locking the thread and deleting my post. You are not the one at fault here, and I commend you for doing your job.
What IS at fault here are these RIDICULOUS forum guidelines. Unbelievable. COMPLETELY unbelievable. I'm appalled that I can't come to a...
Sure! Anyone is more than welcome to submit pieces to the blog. Whether they show up or not is up to my discretion, but I don't see why I wouldn't include them. I need all the content I can get. :coy:
I'm not really looking for anymore weekly segments at the moment... And those that are...
Some of the responses here bother me to no end. Some of you people are actually proposing that this new guy (identified at Tough Pigs as Artie Esposito) should just completely usurp Steve Whitmire for the part of Kermit. That is the most ridiculous, uncalled for, unbelievable proposal I have...
Today on the Mindset, a review of the new "Kermit Culture" book of essays. Plus, a rant on the Case of the Missing Whitmire on last night's America's Got Talent. http://themuppetmindset.blogspot.com/2009/09/kermit-culture-book-review-and-wheres.html
Tomorrow, exclusive interview with Muppet...
Hmm... well, Erin/Muppet Newsgirl already wrote a review for it. But we've had multiple reviews for the same thing before. So... if you really want to, by all means go for it, Dwayne! :D
A few of my friends do this. I can play with the GameCube controller... I just really prefer the Wiimote/Nunchuck combo isntead. It's so cool to have your movement be more precise and decided with the nunchuck.
I agree that Eric was flawless here. If Steve had been here this would've been a perfect appearance. *sigh* Oh well. Next time. This is just a bump in the road.
Agreed on all parts. I just rewatched it too. I can't tell who that is... but Kermit sounds like Scooter when he handed off the CD. So strange. Steve has to be sick. I completely agree.
Okay... this is what I'm thinking.
Steve Whitmire has a sinus infection or lost his voice or... something. That's why we didn't see Statler and Waldorf. Because Steve was gone. They can easily take out a Statler and Waldorf moment, but you can't completely remove Kermit from a sketch built...
Yes, but they had already publicized it as "Kermit and Piggy." They can't just rip the frog out. I think this is exactly why Piggy did all of the singing and Kermit just tossed in a line. He was probably meant to sing more of it.
The whole thing just felt awkward--except Piggy--and it's...
I'm feeling much the same way, Arianne. I'm just so confused as to WHY this would happen. The only rationalizing I can do is that Steve must be sick. He must be extremely ill or have no voice and just could NOT be there. There's no other explanation. Surely... But... I'm agreeing with you. There...
That is what I was JUST thinking! That is DEFINITELY not Steve. That was weird. WEEEEEEIRD. Either Steve has a cold or he's so sick that he couldn't perform the frog. I'm... incredibly confused.
In other news... Miss Piggy was AMAZING. She sounded spot-on perfect. And I loved Kermit's "In Case...
I saw that this made the front page of the New York Times yesterday and there was a quote from Marvel creator Stan Lee calling the merger a "dream come true." So... I think that's a good sign. :D
*laughs* Anytime I can give you the heads-up, I'll be glad to. :p
I'm SO glad they let you go with that cover. The Muppets aren't all about the silly--I'm glad they get to showcase their heart too. The cover is gorgeous. I love Kermit's legs and Piggy's limp leg... *sniff* It's so beautiful...
The covers for issue 4 were just revealed on The Muppet Newsflash's TwitPig page:

They're both INCREDIBLE. And this pretty much confirms that Rizzo is Mr. Smee. Perfect casting and gorgeous covers. I am SO excited for this comic!
