Harvey Kneeslapper: "You can count on me!"

I can just imagine Harvey screaming the numbers hysterically as he tries to count laughing his head off. :)

I was thinking that perhaps the difference was that David had respect for King Ish-bosheth as the son of his father-in-law Saul. And even though God intended to win the monarchy completely over to David eventually because of Saul's unworthiness, Ish-bosheth was still the descendant of God's...

    I am a little uncertain...

I agree with heralde. Seek medical advice especially if you feel your condition is significantly getting worse. But do stay positive. That's the first important thing to do. A healthy attitude helps to promote a healthy body. :)

The Return of the Three Detectives created by Martin Johnson

chapter 1 The young married couple were preparing to settle down for their evening meal that night. Their caretaker had just finished painting their dining room a beautiful navy blue colour and he had also built them a brand new sturdy dining table. They were so delighted with the work he had...

The Three Detectives created by Martin Johnson

I had been thinking at one time of adding the sequel to this same thread but now I think I'll make it a separate one. I do so hope you all enjoy re-reading it while I write my sequel.:)

Thought I'd bump this up and see what happens. By the way I'm now on broadband that enables me to be on anytime 24 hours a day. Maybe I might get to hear somebody's voice one day.

Yes it certainly is. But David had an exceptional sense of justice in the unjust world of his time. It's likely that those two guards (brothers I believe they were) Baanah and Rechab by name, had remembered hearing accounts of how when kings among other nations were at war with each other...

    Fellow Church People

And David continued this remarkable sense of caring justice later on in Chapter 4 I think. That's when during the time of the battle for full control of Israel between the newly appointed King David and one of Saul's surviving sons, King Ish-bosheth, two of Ish-bosheth's own guards assasinated...

    Fellow Church People

And wasn't David amazing in the way he wept and mourned for Saul's death William? He surely exemplifies the godly attitude of forgiveness in this. Anybody else might have rather felt like celebrating. We would have expected David to shout out "Hooray! He's dead! He cannot threaten my life...

    Fellow Church People

I do so hope that my friends who are familiar with the book will join in the discussion about it so that I won't be doing all the talking. But to commence: I love how the book opens with David receiving an Amelekite who comes to his war camp to give him the news about his father-in-law, King...

Would it have been just as funny if...

It would essentially be much the same kind of humourous interaction as between Gonzo and Piggy in the season one episode guest starring Mummenschanz. It could have worked all right but as pointed out it would have been totally different personalities for Piggy and Kermit. Of course if they had...

    Fellow Church People

You're most welcome William. I've recently finished studying the Second Book of Samuel by myself at home. Out of the entire Old Testament I think Second Samuel is my overall favourite because it tells the history of David's reign as King over Israel. I've always had a special fondness for the...

    Pigs singing the Happy Wanderer

Perhaps as a result of forming such a very close bond working together some of the Muppeteers may have sub-consciously ended up sounding a little like each other sometimes. A type of friendly indirect empathy so to speak.
