Nora: Where is everyone?
Erin: Scooter's across town visiting his family, and the Fraggles went down to the Rock for a little bit.
Nora: Ah. So what's going on?
Erin: I've been hired for one of the jobs I interviewed for.
Nora: Wow, that's pretty good. I mean, these are rough times and all that...
Yeah, when you're recasting a Muppet, the goal is to find a performer who can capture the character's spirit as much as the original performer did. And Steve hit it right on the money when he said he didn't know what was going on in Richard's head when he played Beaker.
As for recasting, it...
Yeah, it's cool to know what everyone's real name is - but in true Forgetful Jones fashion, I forget which screen name goes with which real name from time to time.
Yeah, happens all the time - something really cool happens, and then you realize that you're dreaming it.
In mine, my mom was Richard's doctor, and by that time he was fairly ill. And so, yes, my family ends up meeting the Hunts, becoming good pals and all that, and there was a big...
Erin: (on sofa, with tea, cold medicine and tissues) Give me upper respiratory infections for $200, Alex. (sneezes)
Scooter: (rubbing his throat) Hey, you want to pass me a few cough drops? I think I've got whatever you've got. (takes a drop) At least our doctor isn't Lefty.
Nora: Right...what...
Ditto - when I drop into the forum, this is one of a handful of places where I regularly check in. And it is good therapy, as well as lots of fun, but you have to remember to get away from the computer once in a while.
I had another Richard dream during the night - it's kinda similar to the...
Oh, yeah - Christine hadn't visited the Muppet sets in a while, and when she gets there, Richard swoops down, scoops her up in a big hug and says things to make her blush. She was part of that big, crazy, zany extended family - and I think that Richard was sort of her adopted big brother.
And...
I didn't get to see Scooter's turn on Studio DC, because I forgot what date it would be. But it is good to hear that Scooter's got a new performer.
And we've gone over this in other threads, but it's really appropriate that David Rudman picked Scooter up, because Richard Hunt helped David get...
Well, let's see:
Metal Man: Red
Air Man: Digit
Bubble Man: Kermit
Quick Man: Lew Zealand
Crash Man: Crash
Flash Man: The Count (all those numbers, you know)
Heat Man: Crazy Harry
Wood Man: Gillis Fraggle
Lantern Fish: One of the Merggles (the aquatic Fraggles)
Air Tikkis: Ohboy Bird (and the...
Erin: So what's this message I got from Ed?
Nora: Don't know - it must be our Halloween getup assignments.
Beige: Yup - looks like a Wizard of Oz theme.
Scooter: And I've been recast as the assistant - does this mean I have to wear those green contacts again?
Storyteller: Now, now...it's a...
Thanks - I'll drop you a line if I need some job-related advice!
I can still ride on water rides (just not the ones with steep drops), since they're a godsend on hot days. But roller coasters make me break out in a cold sweat - I've never been on one with loops, and I'm certainly not planning...
Hi, everyone; I was out of town on another round of job interviews.
Well, the Pepsi balls might not be my cup of tea but the zeppoles sound awesome. And it is cool to walk around and see what everyone's showing off at the fair.
But I can't go on carnival rides or theme park rides anymore...
(upon hearing the remark about custard cream bombs)
Scooter: Did you hear about the ice cream shop that was targeted by anti-war protesters?
Nora: Oh, yeah, I did - they all carried signs saying "Ban the Bombe."
(chorus of groans)
Erin: My turn: (in dusty historian-type voice) In Ireland...
I'm sure they did - I mean, Jane looked really ecstatic on the DVD.
A few other things: yes, heralde, there was a photo of Amanda on there, as a little kid. But it was just of her, though; no crazy uncles in there with her. Jane also showed off a few photos of Adam.
Well, let's see...it's about 36 inches by 36 inches, made on a 7x7 grid.
I cut out seven squares each from each of the seven colors in the rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet). I then cut each square in half, into two triangles, and then I sewed the triangles back...
Okay, guys, here's the photo I posted of the quilt. And for the record, my DA name is St. Bridget (spelled on the site as StBridget).

And as ever, give me a shout if the link acts up for one reason or another. But it...
Okay, now that I've had a chance to rest my wrists, here's Part II.
In between the interview scenes, there are cuts to Steve, presumably back home in Ohio, describing moments or photos that for some reason or other didn't make it to camera. But he showed us shots of him working the Muppets...
(The gang has just watched the video of the MuppetCast NJ road trip and interview with Jane Hunt.)
Nora: She said that Beaker's Breakers and the other houses up on Corn Hill had some connection with Edward Hopper...
Beige: Yeah, well, I think it's ironic that dog was named Strongheart, when he...
