woohoo! this morning while doing my usual am email check.. i got confirmation.. mine has shipped! should be here, i'll say monday (2nd day air, but this is alaska.. so who knows.. ) can't wait.. will just miss my anniversary.. hehe

would love to see Of Muppets and Men.. properly.. heh.. a former library had really old VHS copies of this (or part of it.. i don't remember..) but they were so badly degraded by the time I got hold of them that it was almost worse then not seeing them at all.. *sigh* would love a nice, clean...

there were actually quite a few specials that shouldn't have too many problems (cept maybe song right issues..) that would make great additions.. DW mentioned several, but I know there are more (cuz I have some of em on vhs downstairs that I really need to get around to transfering to dvd now...

this really makes me mad though... now it really feels like they made the decision to release the complete series with the full on intention of screwing everyone they'd gotten to invest in the individual seasons...

call and pester them now... their contract for distirbution is up early this year, after that.. who knows if we'll get anything from them.. including season 4.. this really ticks me off.. i simply can not afford to buy the complete series after having invested in the season sets..

was a lot easier back then, movies did well, became huge hits, so selling things was easy, and then they just kept at it, never let things drop off much. then did the re-releases, and the prequels which brought it all up again, so they had several platforms to launch and relaunch the product...

most computer dvd players (so i understand anyway..) will switch regions a few times then permanently stick to one or the other.. but.. external dvd drives (and internal ones if you want to install that way) are fairly cheap anymore, so you could buy one to use exclusively for whatever region...
