My top 10 in no real order:
1-Kermit singing "Being Green". I still get choked up every time I see the original clip.
2-"Hey Cow, I See You Now". Not only is it my signature here on MC, but I always sit and feel ultra-relaxed when watching this gem.
3-Falling Baker, doesn't matter which one...
I loved all of the Sid & Marty Krofft shows, The Electric Company, Reading Rainbow, The Letter People (Please come to DVD!), Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood and so many others from way back when.
As far as todays kids' shows, thanks to my daughter who turns 1 in a week and a half I love The Wiggles...
Took the words right out of my mouth...fantastic special!
I loved the villain, IronTail...my dad used to tell us if we misbehaved as kids that IronTail would come see us. I think he just did it to be funny...we still laugh about it to this day.
Oh man...Rocko was without question one of the funniest animated shows ever! I loved every episode. My favorite character was the female hippo that showed up every so often and yelled, "HOW DARE YOU!" Great show, maybe we'll get a DVD set soon.
I've probably said it before, but I'll say it again...Land Of The Lost should be made as a serious Sci-Fi movie true to the original series instead of a comical farce starring Will Ferrel, Whom by the way, I cannot stand. What's next..."LidsVille" starring Dave Chappelle?
I wouldn't be surprised if The Brady Bunch Hour was released very soon...it was produced by Sid & Marty Krofft, and their shows have been coming out on DVD rather quickly these days, (even though we are STILL waiting for the 2nd season of Sigmund & The Sea Monsters).
Everyone brought up some...
I love Bert's "My Favorite Number is 6"...just watched that one a few days ago!
I also like The Pinball Number Counts, Falling Bakers, Jazzy Spies and The Coconut Counting Man...as well as ANYTHING sung by The Count.
As far as remakes being a bad idea, I agree and have one word to sum it up...GODZILLA. Some things should be left alone.
I did like the remake of King Kong with Jack Black though, go figure!
My picks
The top 10 are in order, after that it gets kinda random:
1-Sesame Street
2-Land Of The Lost
3-The Partridge Family
4-Welcome Back, Kotter
5-The Muppet Show
6-HR Pufnstuf
7-Miami Vice
8-Family Guy
9-Sigmund & The Sea Monsters
10-Planet Of The Apes (only ran for one season)...
Bloody Bunnies
Everyone has brought up some great films and I feel there has never been a bad Disney animated movie. Dreamworks has also had a string of entertaining features, but my favorite animated film of all time is actually NOT a kids' movie.
When I was about 12 years old, my mom gave me...
I Have the Power!
Mine would have to be He-Man and The Masters of the Universe from the 1980's. It's the only animated series I own on DVD...that's because I never missed an episode during it's original run and wanted to own those shows when I first learned of it's DVD release.
My song would have to be "YMCA" by Village People.
Now before I get a slew of questions, allow me to explain...
I have been singing for 16 years in clubs and in nursing homes and no matter what new songs I may perform in my act, everyone always wants me to do "YMCA". I have been told that I...
The Pats have nothing to be ashamed of. New York obviously did their homework and knew they had to stop Brady and Moss, and they did for the most part.
Although I am a New Englander, I congratulate the Giants...though I must admit I am not a big football fan anyway.
Wake me when it's time to...
The Original clip of Kermit singing "Bein' Green" in the swamp and the guest appearances of R2D2 and C3PO would have to be mine. I'm a huge Star Wars fan and I still get a lump in my throat when I hear "Bein' Green"...my favorite song ever.
