Yes Sassy and her two brothers, known as the Smurflings were introduced several seasons later. They also introduced a Grandpa Smurf and a Nanny Smurf in addition to the original Papa Smurf so that's three girls they had though I don't know where all these new characters originally came from.

I think it's a wonderful concept Keith. So imaginatively clever and uniquely different from anything I've ever heard of before. I think it has enormous potential to grow into a very popular comic book and future animation series. Definitely try to do things with Super Clown Man my friend. :D

Actually technically the Smurfs never had any girls. Smurfette was created by the evil wizard Gargamel to help him catch the Smurfs. But she changed sides and joined the Smurf village. So all the smurfs were male. I guess we were not meant to wonder about where they all came from. ;)
