Just on a competitive level - i don't know why Palisades prices themselves out of the market a lot of the time, when these things are on the shelves they are placed next to cheaper products from more popular brands so even if the other stuff isn't so good looking it still has the advantage over...

Well, their issue came out and these pics of the PVC's were in there. An unexpected Toy Fair preview indeed! There goes my Daily BIT on Monday!!! Still...been wanting to show these...
The Chef repaint will be $20, not fifteen. There are three Lobsters in the pack, each with guns, and each of their claws are bendy. We couldn't do it for the $15 standard exclusive costs.
You all do know why these exclusives cost so much more, even if they are mostly a repainted something...
Ah...people are starting to notice some of the quirks in the line. Scooter HAD 16 points of articulaton going in. Something happened to the tool. It got messed up and we had to make a correction and that resulted in the bicep cust that ALL the other figures in Series 3 have being absent from...
It's a little more complicated than that, but the short answer is yes certainly any pre-production done on paper first can reduce, if even a small amount, the probable cost of the playset.
Yes. And no. Well, let me explain.
The past four playsets have had figures, so they have all required the full sculpting fees of a figure. The Labs was done by hand, but the EM stage was drawn 100% by me and sculpted overseas. The Kitchen shell, doors, appliances and such and some of the...
Here's why it's more expensive. Time and development costs in the sculpting stage, production complexity and weight.
See, a piano I can draw on paper fully technically and then have it re-created in China at no cost, except my own time, to creat a tool. A pack-in has to be sculpted. That...
I actually don't know if that was something you were saying to be funny (and it was funny) but I think that is the opposite over here. I have found that a lot of the hardcore Muppet fans have not been fanatical about collecting every figure. I understand the reasons, it's just an observation.
Artie felt that Scooter was too big also..a giant. I don't agree with that. Thing is, that for every photo I have that suggests that the figure height is close to the average puppet height, I have photos that refute that. I basically have hundreds of images at my disposal, and all we can really...

You gotta try harder. All the Lew's I have opened and played with have been able to hold their fish. All the Zoot's have been able to hold their saxes.
I see where some might consider it tacky...but I don't. I actually am glad that one of their girlfriends got some cash. (It was one of their dates who listed it through their eBay address) The way I see it, if they get that money and they go do something cool or have fun with it, in some weird...
My take on this is if the line goes all the way, by that I mean if it continues through 2004-2005 as planned, you would see most if not all of those characters except maybe Digit...but even that would not be written in stone.
I am curious. Someone (I think James) made a proposed line plan...
Re: Ken, you'r killin me!
KMC...congratulations on the marraige!
I can't make these available on the club. Would if I could but I can't. We are probably going to make a Kermit/Piggy cake topper in the PVC line and put it out in 04 though...
I know it ain't the same....:(
Quick note. Just because I said I would like to see Statler and Waldorf or the Chef in a tux does not make it so. That is me speaking as a fan-boy, not as a product manager. If more tuxedo versions were to be done, odds are it would not be those three anywhere NEAR the front of the line...
