Bear arrives on Disney+ The beloved series has been off the air for the past 15 years. Now all four seasons are finally available for a whole new generation.
There's a documentary that's kind of a Behind the Music biography thing about how Bear rose to fame.
It's called:
The Bear that Made a deal with Faust.
That was a stretch...sorry...I know that Faust was the author...not the character of the Devil in the book...but I don't have time to try...
One of my favorite moments, and one of the funniest to me, is when Belafonte is singing 'Day-o' and Fozzie keeps interrupting him...and when they're echoing him, Fozzie is out of sync with the rest of the Muppets...
Belafonte: Daaaaay-o!
Muppets, and then Fozzie: Daaaay-o!-(Fzy'OH!'):o
It's a feature film about Bear and Tutter's adventures after they accidently take the Division Rd exit off the Kennedy Expressway and end up in Cabrini Green. It's called "Bear in the Big Blue Projects"
Tutter is an icon of our time. He's the yin and the yang of all that is small, furry, and blue. I love the episode when the book gets dropped on his tail.
MTI was hilarious. Its vibrantly colored and has some great songs/scenes. I thought Tim Curry did a great job of interacting with the muppets. There's a great conflict between Sam the Eagle's ideas of the types of punishments Capt. Smollet (Kermit) is going to administer to insubordinate crew...
The muppets are notorious for the plays on words that they incorporated into the scripts (for the adults) - My favorite is from the Muppet Movie where Kermet almost gets flattened by a steam roller when he's riding his bike past the frog-leg fast food joint. See my signature for this line - What...
The sketch about the two criminals stealing the "GOLDEN AN"
(Take the 'Golden AN' and put it in this tan van, Give it to stan, who'll give it to dan, that's the plan)
The part that scared me was when the police-man creeps up on them from the backround shadows - I'd always cover my eyes.
