I saw the Richard Hunt menu, but never saw the Steve Whitmire, Joan G. Cooney, or Fran Brill menus! *gasp* Must have been near the beginning, before I knew the menus were being changed all the time.
We really need to hold a contest to vote for which of Jamie's menus is the best. :) Plus...
(jaw drops) Wow! I was not expecting this. I thought the next menu wouldn't be till Mother's Day or something. Then when I saw the title of Phil's post, I went to check the front page without reading what it would be like first. I figured, oh, National Day of Puppetry -- he'll probably throw in...
Here are the results so far based on the 7 people who have voted. 5 points went to the first character they voted for, 4 points to the next character, etc.
1. Rowlf - 23 pts. (6 votes)
2. Beaker - 17 pts. (5 votes)
3. Pepe - 14 pts. (5 votes)
4. Scooter - 12 pts. (4 votes)
5. Sam - 11...
Re Sam: That, I think, was actually one of the problems. The writers thought, "Oh, Sam's function on the show is to introduce Wayne & Wanda." But that's an extremely limited role, and since Wayne & Wanda weren't hilarious to begin with...
Sam really took off as a character in the second...
Wolfy,
Jim Henson got HUGE media coverage at the time of his passing. I don't see any more or less being done for him than Mr. Rogers. In fact, Mr. Rogers only got one big memorial; Jim got two (one in NY and one in England).
The reason why the other people don't get as much media...
Wow! Sounds like Pepe's had a little too much caffeeine. ;)
Thanks for writing, Okay Okay. Here are my 5 alternates:
1. Beaker
2. Rowlf
3. Floyd
4. Janice (for the ladies)
5. Angus MacGoogle, the Argyle Gargoyle
Just kidding on that last one. Angus would rock, but there are too many...
Beau,
The only ways we can see it are if you upload it as your avatar, or if you have webspace somewhere. Sites like GeoCities don't allow you to link photos, but you can give us the URL (web address) and we can cut & paste the link to see it.
Very cool. How did you manage to capture that image and use it? I try to click on the images and it doesn't let me save anything. Also, was the file size too large originally for avatar requirements, and if so, how did you make it smaller? I have the Baby Pops at 64 x 64, but it's 7 to 12k so...
LOL!! I was only kidding about Baby Pops, but he looks great. What would his voice sound like? What would they call him since he wasn't anyone's "pop" at that time?
I tried to make the pic my avatar, but for some reason it says the file's too big. It's less than 64 x 64, but it's 7k, and I...
I'm glad they got rid of Wayne and Wanda. The song never lasted long enough for it to be interesting, and the gag was always the obvious, predictable one. Kermit was right to "fire" them.
(ducks Byron's stick) ;)
Oh, my GOSH!!! LOL!!! I think that Baby Chef has warped my entire sense of reality. ;) I like them all, though.
Anyone up for Baby Pops?
(Just think about it for a minute...yes, I know it's ridiculous.) :D
Gosh, that's cool. I just sat there laughing and waiting for where Bean Bunny would pop up next. And I can't tell you how long I've been waiting to see a Baby Pepe, just because it's so completely out of place (in a good way)! Pepe is funny, not cute, as evidenced by the little girl that...
Warrick! You've changed. I got used to thinking of you as Blue Frackle. Now you go and turn into Bean Bunny on me. ;)
Seriously, though, that's awesome. Too bad you saw it on TV--I'd like to download a copy of that as well!
When I say "obscure," I'm talking about the general populace, not hardcore animation fanatics like ourselves. :D
Let me illustrate my point. I just typed in "Bugs Bunny" and "Looney Tunes" in the DVD search engine to see what titles are available. You know what's there? "Space Jam," which...
Raccoons...wow. You guys have topped even me in the knowledge of obscure cartoons. :) I had completely forgotten about this one till I saw the picture!
There's a fine line with which shows should be on DVD and which shows shouldn't. It should either be popular in the mainstream (Friends, The...
I see what you're saying. I think with some of the other editions, they may have sold other tokens seperately if the game did well. So there still might be a Rowlf in the future.
Meanwhile, I like Pepe, but he's getting a little overexposed at the moment, so I was glad to see the piece go to...
Thanks for the heads-up about the airdate, A.Leal! I always miss the chance to get a full copy, non-fuzzy-rabbit-ears version. Now I'll finally get one...maybe. ;)
Very, very COOL, Monopoly Guy. Thanks so much! I don't want to know anymore myself...except maybe the new box. I don't want all the surprises ruined for me! :) Thanks again!
Let's see...Dark Crystalopoly? Nahhh...
