For the world in general, I agree. But for television, of course it will change if we turn it off and ignore it. If no one's watching, there's no money to be made, and it's all about money. So television companies would be forced to come up with something that we won't turn off and will make...

As for the "Muppet" thing.. as far as the trademark goes, obviously that belongs to Disney, but a Muppet is not just an entity, a trademarked group of things. To me, it's first and foremost a style of puppet-making. There aren't...
I enjoyed the Rankin-Bass stop-motion version of The Life & Adventures of Santa Claus but the more recent animated remake isn't as good.
But I completely agree with you about Elf, so you're not alone. :)
I love it also.. not to mention the fact that it contains the best line in the history of 80s cartoons when Skeletor says "I don't know what's happening to me . . . but I must . . . save the children!" :batty:
The line itself is hilarious enough, but the delivery is perfect!
