Well Stargate is a TV show on the SciFi channel that's based off a movie with the same name.

    Henson Manga Titles

They can be over exgerated (sp?), but big eyes small mouth? It's just not what we're accustomed too. In Japan, they probably think our animation gives them that odd feeling.

    Henson Manga Titles

Those were the Muppet Comics I was referring too. I hope to one day track the books down. EleganceLiberty, the 1990s were the best time for good cartoons I think! The 1990s Batman cartoon series was dark and wonderful, much closer to my version of the Dark Knight than what they have today...

    Henson Manga Titles

Yeah, there was a Muppey Comic Strip that ran from 1984-1986, Kermitage.com has pictures of the graphic novels of the books: http://www.kermitage.com/html/collectibles/booksandmagazines/bookspage3.htm Also there have been various comic books of The Muppet Babies and Fraggle Rock, which can be...

    Henson Manga Titles

Also forget to add that there were Muppet comics once upon a time and are collected into a few books I think. Another thing, if you search ebay for Muppet Doujinshi, you'll probably come up with something. Doujinshi are fanmade comics from Japan.

    Henson Manga Titles

The comics are supposed to continue the stories, so I doubt they will be like the cine-manga. Manga in Japan is used to reference US or Japan comics. It just has been applied to imports from Japan to distinguish them. They are probably also using the manga title to get the anime/manga fans...

Behind the Scenes of "The Muppet Movie"

I have a small story, though it can't compare with Once With Ernie. About two years ago, I think, Caroll Spinney came to my local bookstore to sign copies of "The Wisdom of Big Bird", I went there with my first puppet Kiki the Kiwi Bird and Caroll eventually brought Oscar out. Before this...

Add a young Robin and Gaffer the cat to that list.

    Minigolf and Windmills

Hmm...I suck at put-put golf. One time I hit the ball really hard and it flew into the waterfall. I wonder if they ever got it out.

So you want to audition for the Muppets?

I've been puppeteering for a little over a year and I don't think my voice is close to any of the Muppets. But I bet If I tried hard enough I could do Rowlf or maybe Sweetums.

    Laby, DC, MM Comic Books

I also wonder why they are taking Labyrinth in the direction of Toby being the goblin king's heir, instead of focusing on what happened to Sarah after she left the Labyrinth. From reading the movie novelization, the picture book, and watching the movie there are three endings: 1. Novel-...

    Did Jim prefer glove puppets?

I also read I think in Jim Henson the Works or in The Creature Shop Book, that Jim also loved to try new forms of puppetry and he reserved special projects for himself. When they were doing the Dark Crystal, Jim saved Jen for himself.

I've been reading Tokyopop manga for years and they are a pretty legit company. I wonder when they will release them.

    Brian Froud's Pressed Fairy Album

This is kind of related to fantasy worlds seeing as Brian Froud was the conceptual designer for Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal. I was looking at some of Brian Froud's work at my local library and I read his Lady Cottington's Pressed Fairy Album. It's the sequel to Lady Cottington's Pressed...
