My review of Looney Tunes: Back in Action

Yep. He does make an appearance at the end. It's just a silent cameo, but hey, he is in there. :) That is one thing I have to say in favor of this movie: most of the cameos are really funny and work quite well. That's the one thing this movie has all over VMMCM.

Thanks for the well wishes, everybody! We'll see you all next time on the... Er, umm, that is...I'll see you all in about a week.

IGN FilmForce confirms Farscape miniseries on the horizon

Cool. I saw this article too, but finally got overwhelmed with posting all the different news updates. :smirk: Thanks for catching this one, Phil!

    I'll be offline

Hey, all, My financial situation has dictated a move back home, from LA to Chicago, so I'll be offline from Dec. 1-5 while I make the long journey back (driving). Just so you don't wonder why I seem to have fallen off the face of the earth. I'll probably check tomorrow to see if there...

    Henson closes NY office

Oh, I didn't mean to aim this directly at you, Beebers. In fact, I wasn't trying to aim it at anyone. There was just kind of a general mood among all the posts that suggested some disgust with Henson for doing this. And I feel just as sad--I was just trying to remind everyone of the harsh...

Labyrinth Collector's Edition DVD Box Set

Not yet, unfortunately. This is a Region 1 release, so that means it'll be available in America, and I believe Canada and Mexico would also be included in that. I think Region 2 might be Europe, but I'm talking way outside my realm of experience here. Can someone else chime in? It probably...

Labyrinth Collector's Edition DVD Box Set

I knew this one was coming out, but hadn't yet heard what any of the extras were. "New special features"--very exciting. I'm hoping for some more cut scenes (heck, I'd go for the whole 3-hour cut of the film, though I don't see that happening). I'd also like it if they included David Bowie's...

Henson talking to Disney and Viacom for potential partnership deals

"Distribute" and "own" aren't the same thing, actually. George Lucas owns the Star Wars movies; 20th Century Fox only distributes them. I guess ITC (Lord Grade's company) only distributed TMS, since the rights reverted back to Henson in the late '80s/early '90s. As long as the Muppets remain...

    It's Official: Series 9 & 10 Announced!

But her character sold well in the '70s and '80s, and people were just obsessed with looks then--women didn't want to see themselves as fat sows even at that time. I think because of the perfectionist mentality of Madison Avenue, women often see themselves as fat sows even when they're not, so...

    Henson closes NY office

This is just devastating. I don't think Henson is a Heartless Corporation for doing this. They need to do what they need to do to remain financially stable. And there's more work for them in LA than anywhere else. And after all, we make the same choices in our own lives--who lives in the same...

My review of Looney Tunes: Back in Action

Just saw the movie last night. My thoughts: This movie is a weird hybrid. On the one hand, you have the Warner Bros. animated stuff, most of which works pretty well; on the other, you have the typical big bloated WB production of late that has a lame nonsencial plot and big special effects...

    It's Official: Series 9 & 10 Announced!

In addition to the ones I've already mentioned, I could probably think of a handful of others. (How about Kermit & Fozzie in their "pizza guy" outfits from GMC?) But that's not the point. Pallisades is already doing that kind of thing -- the MTI figures, Koosebane Kermit, Tutu Pepe, etc. And...

    Whatever happened to Roosevelt Franklin?

Ooooh. As someone who grew up in Chicago, Mark, I have to thank you very much for that cool link to the Bozo Show info. I'm also a fan of Banana Splits and Gigglesnort Hotel, so again...thank you!

    It's Official: Series 9 & 10 Announced!

Well, granted, it's not as outrageous as the examples I mentioned. Still, I think there's so much more interesting enough that can be produced that would thrill the Muppet fan and still be eye-catching to the casual buyer off the street. Casual fans wouldn't remember Kermit with his banjo...

    Thanksgiving menu

Ahh, another classic returns. Thanks, Jamie and Phil! I get such a kick out of this one. Do we have different menus leading up to Christmas, then? (Not different from last year, necessarily -- just different from each other each week.)

    It's Official: Series 9 & 10 Announced!

I think you misunderstand me. I have no problem with themed variants. I have no problem with colorful versions of characters that stand out on the toy shelf. My problem is with variants that seem to exist solely for the purpose of perpetuating the line, rather than giving us figures that are...

    It's Official: Series 9 & 10 Announced!

Oh, wow. I didn't read what the pack-ins were before. The Java Muppets? I never would have expected them in a million years. And YORRICK?!?!? Of all Muppets, Yorrick?? I'm not upset, just astounded. That's amazing! I'm a happy camper. (I do want it to be Yorrick from Sam and Friends.) So the...

    It's Official: Series 9 & 10 Announced!

OK, I hadn't seen the Pallisades FAQ before. So that rules JHH out. :sympathy: Wonder why, when they're doing Muppets Tonight, which wasn't exactly a roaring success either. Oh, well. Interesting that they mention JHH is not included right off the bat, then mention SS, Fraggles and Muppet...
