It's great that this is coming to Blu-ray.
It's not one of my favorites, but it's not really fair for me to say that, as I've only seen it once, and that was years ago, and I was in a bad mood while I was watching it. So, I'll be very happy to give it another go, this time in HD!
I'm sure it will be released on Blu-ray at some point.
Also, don't forget that VMC and MWoO aren't really Muppet "movies". You could call them TV movies, but then A Muppets Christmas: Letters to Santa is one too, and maybe even A Muppet Family Christmas and all of the other tv specials.
I've read that Amazon is trying to damage sales for a few studios to get them to lower prices.
To watch Blu-rays on a computer you need a Blu-ray drive like this one: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DVTBM2W/?tag=muppetcentral and Blu-ray playing software like AnyDVD HD.
Just so everyone knows, the release date has been changed to August 11th.
I'm still happy that all the Muppet films are getting UK Blu-ray releases, but to be honest this release is making me happy that I already own the US editions.
Having said that, the price isn't bad for all those Blu-rays.
No, a Kickstarter wouldn't be the right thing for this situation. It would have to be Disney who started it.
On Kickstarter, a company or an individual tries to raise money to do something (usually to release an item). But as we don't own the rights to The Muppet Show, we couldn't try to raise...
I'm hoping (probably stupidly) that Disney will announce some sort of release for next year at D23 for the Muppets 60th anniversary. Or they might wait till 2016 for the 40th anniversary of The Muppet Show. How about season 4 next year, and season 5 in 2016 along with a box set?
Hi all, :)
I've just seen that on the 4th of August there's a Blu-Ray box set of Muppet films coming out in the UK. It contains:
Muppets Most Wanted
The Muppets (2011)
The Muppets Movie (1979) [New to Blu-ray in the UK]
The Great Muppet Caper [New to Blu-ray in the UK]
The Muppet Christmas...
Oh wow! I'm so jealous! I'd love to own something like this. :)
If you ever feel like scanning this, or taking photos of every page, I'd love to read it.
I would have loved to get this! Oh well. :(
The seller has 99.9% possative feedback and has made well over 4000 sales, so I'm sure it's not a hoax. And lots of people would of had a copy of the script.
