Hi, Kiki - I have the same problem, except in my case it's work that's taking up valuable time.
You've got a good point there, Fletchy - Scooter, along with some of Richard's other characters, aren't in the limelight as often as some other Muppet characters...then too, Miss Piggy's awfully...
Back at you - happy St. Patrick's to everyone. Today's the day when it's easy being green. :)
Someone really needs to go through the archive footage of each of the three shows - and the movies - and put together an outtake reel. That would be hysterical - of course, it would take up at least...
Oh, but of course. ;)
I remember the first time I saw the "Bohemian Rhapsody" video. The minute Gonzo and the chickens first came up, I nearly died laughing.
And you're right - it doesn't give the spotlight to just one Muppet. It does justice to everyone, even some of the more obscure ones we...
When I saw this thread title, my eyes lit up. :excited:
I've been a huge, huge ELP fan since I was about 11 or 12 years old. I think I actually first heard their music when I was six, but it took a few years for the bug to really bite. I've got all their albums - after giving it a lot of...
Storyteller: So, how did everyone's checkups go? I've got a clean bill of health...the report said I'm absolutely full of vim and vigor.
Erin: Mine said that I needed to get a lot more rest, and not drink so much coffee.
Nora: Mostly the same, except my report didn't say anything about coffee...
I agree - it does take a little bit of getting used to, hearing David as Scooter, because for the most part, we're all completely used to hearing Richard do Scooter's voice. But it's true, one way or another you do adjust.
As we've said a few times, it's very apropos that David's been tapped...
Okay, after a lengthy delay, here now is the final chapter of "Frights, Camera, Action," in which we attend the festival itself.
Chapter Eleven: Reel Time
“Good evening, Hensonville,” the female voice proclaimed over the loudspeaker. “And this is Reel Time!”
With that, a pair of...
Erin: Mercy buttercups, Kelly...and you as well, Holographic Kelly. (to others) All right, gang, we're locked in. And it sounds like we can just swing by whenever.
Scooter: So is it true we get lollipops just for showing up?
Storyteller: Mmm, well, I think you actually have to sit through the...
Scooter: (sorting through Muppet trading cards) How's the story coming along?
Erin: I'm about ready to go on the last chapter, but I'm having writer's block again. So that one probably won't be posted for a few days.
Storyteller: Mmm...is that cold still bothering you? If so, you might want to...
All right, after a few delays, here is chapter ten. I wrote this one kind of as I went along, but I think it starts to tie things up.
Statler: What, you have to tie your readers to a chair now?
Waldorf: So it should be criminal to make us read this story...think the judge will buy it?
***...
That's cool, Ed - I'll get a look at it as soon as I can.
I'm working on Chapter 10, and I'm getting my thoughts in order for the day of the festival itself. I was under the weather today, so I still couldn't get much writing done. (It's always something, eh?) But I'm definitely shooting to...
I must beg your indulgences, gentle readers - it looks like chapter nine will not be posted tonight, since it looks like I'm going to be working a little late again.
Okay, I see what you mean - just after the fifty-second mark, there's what looks like the brim of a soft gray hat in the lower right corner, down below Scooter. And it does look like a newsboy cap - the kind that Richard is seen wearing in a lot of TMS photos. The style suited him well.
Thanks, JeanyLaser...and as requested, here is part the ninth. Here, we get some much-needed back story...and the evil-doers are revealed, even though they don't realize it.

Chapter Nine: The Spooks Speak
“I can see this is going to take a little explaining,” Gilbert said has he...
And for once, it was an invention that didn't result in injury to Beaker...at least as far as we know, since we weren't on the Muppet Labs set when they were working on it.
Chapter nine will be up tomorrow, in which the ghosts tell their side of the story...and we learn just who's been causing...
Scooter: (dunking Orange Delight in milk) How's the story coming along?
Erin: (typing) Fine, fine...but it looks like chapter nine's going to have to wait until tomorrow.
Scooter: Another case of writer's block?
Erin: Yeah...plus my throat's been hurting a bit. (reaches for Mint Dream and...
Thanks, Kate. And now, here, as requested, the night of thrills and chills.
(Statler and Waldorf are setting up sleeping bags on the second-floor landing at Castle Irene.)
Statler: Well, you'd solve the chill problem if you'd fix those windows!

Chapter Eight: Good Night, Sleep Fright...
Hi, Fletchy, how're you doing?
To my ears, it does sound like Richard - but he sounds kind of off. And that's a good point - it could be the sound quality, or it could be that Richard wasn't feeling well that day.
It's one of my favorite images as well - and you know, it's kind of symbolic...
I've had several songs stuck in my head for the last little while, and they're all by Gordon Lightfoot - probably because I had a "best of" CD playing at my desk at work today.
