Sorry to all those who were clamoring madly for all these great Muppet items, but they're gone now.:batty::crazy::hungry::fishy::skeptical::attitude::electric::zany::cluck::scary::busy::oops::fanatic:
Toots Thielemans was quite an accomplished musician! Besides the aforementioned Sesame Street contributions, he also played with the likes of Julian Lennon, Paul Simon, Dizzy Gillespie, Billy Joel and John Denver (many of whom also had Sesame Street and/or The Muppet Show connections.)
And of...
Hey guys- if anyone is interested, I have the 5 book set of Sesame Street books from Time-Life (copyright 1970) as well as a book & record set of "The Muppets Take Manhattan" that I've been trying to sell. Would anyone be interested in these items? Ideally, I'd love about $10 for the whole lot...
I think I finally found Herbert Birdsfoot in this shot!!! Right next to Sherlock Hemlock and Sully on the extreme right. (And right below Harvey Monster.)
:)
(Yay! Glad to see confirmation of Kermit and Herbert sharing at least one scene together for the record. lol)
So sad to hear of Mr. Bowie's death. He will always be remembered as Jareth, the Goblin King from "Labyrinth" to me- that's mainly where I first heard his music, though I've heard other things since then. If I had to pick a favorite, it'd probably be "Under Pressure" (that he sang with Queen)...
Wow! Sounds like a great lineup for a Muppet Babies revival. :):o:concern::mad:;):sympathy::halo::confused::eek::flirt::sleep::boo:
(Trying to put all the smilies for the Muppet Babies characters- just need one for Skeeter and Bean Bunny and Robin- and I guess Camilla on a technicality. And it'd...
I've been watching some of Harvey Kneeslapper's classic routines on Sesame Street again (one of the neat perks of working as a children's librarian- I can introduce tons of kids to classic Sesame Street:super::):wisdom:
Anyway- I ran across this online of a Harvey Kneeslapper style wedding...
There's the bit with Fozzie Bear and Harry Belafonte with that song on his episode of "The Muppet Show" (and Fozzie asks to be the "Tallyman" or the "Tallybear".:o)
If something like that was done on Sesame Street, I don't recall- but it certainly could have happened with Telly wanting to be the...
Good to hear that Marty Robinson is committed to staying with Sesame Street for a while to come and hopefully keeping Snuffy and Telly making plenty of appearances. I'd love to see some more Baby Bear too- seems like I haven't seen him show up in a while either.
Not exactly strictly a Muppets TV special, but what about Julie Andrews' "One Step into Spring"? I may have missed it, so sorry if this is old news- but does anyone know what happened with the DVD that was supposed to be coming?....:eek::insatiable::fanatic::coy:
That's just so great to see Snuffy show up on a TV show to promote Sesame Street. :wisdom: I can't think of the last time (if ever) I've seen or heard of Mr. Snuffleupagus showing up on someone's show. So yeah- great news! Thanks for the link to his appearance. And it's good to know that ol'...
Yay for a thread about Muppet specials! I LOVE them! (Okay- most of them.) I consider them an important part of The Muppets, for sure. Thankfully, I've been able to see most of them- and the vast majority of them still are not on DVD. I'd love to see these all get DVD releases some day. I still...
If it's only 47 minutes, then it sounds like an edited version of Muppet Family Christmas. However, since it's a PAL version, that could make a difference- I'm not sure how it works exactly, but I do know the speed is different on PAL and NTSC videos. I'd recommend checking Muppet Wiki's entry...
I ran across The Great Muppet Caper soundtrack on LP just the other day at a used book store... but I didn't have the money for it then. It would have been a nice addition though- I've got The Muppet Movie soundtrack on LP and it's fun to play that every now and then. I think the only Muppet...
That's great news for fans of the show! For the sake of completeness, I may keep watching some episodes here and there, but I haven't been too impressed in general, honestly. Though it is great to see the Muppets on TV again.
It doesn't help that I don't really like the faux documentary style...
Well, thanks for saying so. Yeah- sorry I couldn't get scans done- if I'd had the time, I wouldn't have minded, but I had a lot of things going on then (moving mainly) and I just had to get rid of some stuff.
