There was an unseen narrator illustrating the differeces between beginning and end. All I remember was a man eating a hot dog. Just before he started eating it, the man said "beginning". Then in fast motion, the man gobbled it down and the narrator appropriately says "end". I think there were...
Set in the old west, these were cool muppet skits that involved Sinister Sam an alleged "outlaw" that everyone was alwyas so scared of but turned out to be nothing severe at all. One skit involved Sam coming into the bar and saying "I'm looking for Doc Holliday"(from the OK Corral?) Doc sees him...
This was a rare one in that it featured Ernie without Bert but with Oscar instead. Ernie was looking thru his whole house and could not find his rubber duckie. He got so frantic to the point where he actually started crying because he thought he lost it. Oscar comes into his house and was...
This was an early skit that didn't last too long(i think). It involved I think a mother who notices her son sitting at the kitchen table with a spilled glass of milk and naturally wants to know how it happened. The kid tells the mother various "lies" which were illustrated in a funny way. I...
This was a pretty popular one. The superball that goes traveling thru different chutes, channels and other paths while an unseen boy counts to three each time the ball goes thru a certain trio of paths. Finally, the ball falls into (a meat grinder?) and we see a hand cupped under the spout while...
Henry and Liza were muppets in this cool clip that involved a comedy in song. Henry was going to get water from the well and discovered a hole in the bucket and the song begins:
Henry: "There's a hole in the bucket, dear Liza, dear Liza"(repeated)
Liza: "so fix it dear Henry dear...
I hope someone can help me remember this one. It was really cute and involved a cat, 2 real life girls(not muppets), a tea set, and I think perhaps a doll house too. The theme of the skit had to do with the number 2 I think and featured an unseen woman singing about the scenes that were...
This was a funny one with me. A story I think that was narrated(and illustrated) by either Bob, Maria, or Luis. I think it involved a king who for some reason, outlawed anything in his kingdom that began with the letter P. Ultimately, because of his infamous ruling, the villagers deemed it...
Yes that one was pretty cool, but now that you bring it up, I was wondering iff ALL the Charlie Chaplin skits were done by Maria in costume or just some of them? I could have swore it Maria anyway.
What I liked about this skit is when the kid took the guitar, the guy who playing it was still moving his arms as if he still was still strumming it even though the kid had already taken it.
This was a funny one. There was a skit featuring Ernie and CM. Ernie had an easel where he wanted to count how many apples he had. Along comes CM and naturally wants an apple but can't seem to make up his mind over whether he really wants it or not. One time he refuses and says "I don't eat...
Can someone please tell me who that man was that was always falling down the flight of stairs in the numbers 1 thru 10 skits? He was always dressed as a baker or a chef and would be carrying a somewhat overload of cakes pies or desserts. It was funny to look at as I'm sure that was the idea with...
I recall a skit with Kermit Luis and CM. It was funny in that Luis made Kermit(and the TV audience) believe that when Luis blew into a banana, it sounded like a horn. Eventually he revealed that he had a horn in his other hand that you didn't see at first. I forgot what the theme of the skit was...
You helped me to remember more of it now..it went something like this...he was taking his(sound effect)baby out to the country and join a(sound effect) chicken and a (sound effect) cow, and a (sound effect) horse and a (sound effect) pig. But I had to (screeeech) stop the car because a (sound...
I actually like the tip-toe sound effects that was used during the intros. One skit with Lefty had those tip-toe sounds and Ernie playing the harmonica in between. I think it that particular one was used just once. But it was used to good effects.
Actually, I think the first appearance of Simon Soundman was before Fat Blue came into the picture(although they both looked alike). He made an appearance in the restaurant where Grover worked as a waiter and he asked Grover for a (sound of a chicken) sandwich. Naturally Grover got it all mixed up.
This is a real oldie. I remeber a sketch that involved a father muppet(looked like the same muppet who played Simon Soundman and Fat blue) but had a deeper voice, and his muppet son. I think they were walking in the woods or something, and they both agreed to switch roles. I think the father was...
There was a skit that involved Ernie(without Bert) and Simon Soundman. I don't remember all the dialogue but Simon came into Ernie's apartment and started describing a problem he had using various sound effects. Ultimately ending in simon asking Ernie if he can use his(brrrrring) telephone to...
