Jim Henson Idea Man
Remember the life. Honor the legacy. Inspire your soul. The new Jim Henson documentary "Idea Man" is now streaming exclusively on Disney+.
Bear arrives on Disney+ The beloved series has been off the air for the past 15 years. Now all four seasons are finally available for a whole new generation.
If the show doesn't get renewed, can't Disney just reair Season 1 on Disney Channel and do future seasons on Disney Channel and Disney XD, like what they did with Muppets Tonight in the past.
I hope we get Season 2, because Season 1 was jumbled with The Muppets trying to be a ABC comedy + Muppets Tonight + The Muppet Show combined into one show.
If we get Season 2:
1. Want Constantine to come back
2. Want Walter to come back
3. Tina Fey as Guest Star
4. Ricky Gervais as Guest Star
5. Ross Lynch as Guest Star
6. Skillet, Christian Rock Band, as Musical Guest Stars
THE ABC Network president getting fired won't change anything about The Muppets, ABC will treat The Muppets like Agent Carter and Agents of Shieldbecause of the fan support and the brand, because Agents of Shield and Agent Carter both were in low ratings and they got renewed for another season...
I don't think this show will get axed. Agents of Shield, Agent Carter, and Galavant had the same low ratings as The Muppets, but because of fan support ABC still renewed them for another season. The Muppets will probably be the same way, where ABC gives it another season, because of fan support.
I am glad that Disney is doing more stuff with the Muppets, since the new show premiered on ABC, instead of leaving them in a dusty vault until the potential third Muppets movie :)
Pros:
1. Musical performance from Josh Groban
2. Good celebrity selection, since Josh Groban's last Muppet appearance was Muppets Most Wanted
In terms of Muppets, I hope Constantine appears and causes Mayham for the Muppets, as community service for the Gulag.
In terms of Celebrities, I hope...
Pros
- The Muppets are back
Cons
- No Pigs in Space
- Not in the traditional The Muppet Show format
- Too short, ABC should of made the show last 1 hour like Once Upon A Time and Marvel's Agents of SHIELD
- Plot of the episode felt rushed
Final Rating: 3/5
I am hoping they use guest stars that will attract teenagers to the show like Ross Lynch, Hayley Atwell, Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr, Clark Gregg, and Tom Hiddleston.
Wondering what celebrities are we going to get, will they reuse celebrities from the 2 recent Muppet movies, Muppets Most Wanted and The Muppets (2011), or will they use random Disney celebrities like Ross Lynch, Idina Menzel, Josh Gad, Chris Evans, and Ty Simpkins.
for celebrity guests, they could do stars from Disney Channel, Disney movies, and ABC. For a episode, they could do R5 rocking out with Animal and Electric Mayhem or capitalize on Frozen's popularity and have Idina Menzel singing Let It Go with Miss Piggy.
Since it's ABC: they could do it at 10 p.m. EST on Tuesday Night after Marvel's Agents of Shield or they could cancel Resurrection and put Muppets into the Sunday Night timeslot at 9:00 p.m. EST after Once Upon A Time.
the special was good, but I was hoping for more Miss Piggy action. Miss Piggy should of been the co-star of the show, because she's way more famous than The Rockettes, Ariana Grande, and that other girl. Miss Piggy was in more specials and movies than all of the other performers. NBC should of...
We will probably get another movie, because Disney helps their own sales by buying copies of the Movie for every Muppet, every Disney employee, and every celebrity, who was in the movie.
Get a Horse was the Mickey Mouse cartoon that was attached to Frozen though. Party Central, The Monsters University cartoon, was attached to Muppets Most Wanted.
