    e-bay-ing Your Puppets...

I like using polar too...for certain things...I built a lion on Sunday (head anyway) out of polar...it turned out nice. (I'm going to use it Sunday for a performance then give it to my son.) I had to go to sewing the mouth though to get a consistent "non-pucker" result. With me, polar fleece...

    e-bay-ing Your Puppets...

Yeah, all of those are mine. You can see more on my site. It's representative of some but not all. And the one that looks like an exploded frog puppet is actually my head... The pink one in the album with the yellow hair I have deconstructed with the intention of re-doing her. She's...

    e-bay-ing Your Puppets...

Our church team is POGO (puppeteers obeying God's order...it was that or "No Greater Glove") We only do live performances, no pre-rec stuff. I have a couple of absolutely great performers. We like to set up cameras so that we can see people in front of the stage. At a ministry fair, we were...

    e-bay-ing Your Puppets...

That's part of the reason I started my own site. The only reason I would consider e-bay is to market my site or to move inventory (Inventory? That's funny, I have one puppet for sale). I know several people here are e-baying and doing well. I don't want to be the competition at auction...

    e-bay-ing Your Puppets...

I'm definitely not the Audubon guy. I'm just trying to be a purple cow in the puppet ministry market. I appreciate what you are saying and if and when I get a solid reputation, I will assess my situation. This whole puppet ministry thing is beginning to unfold before me. I don't know...

Maybe I can someday become a professional builder then price my work accordingly. It sounds like you don't approve of my undertaking, Kevin.

    e-bay-ing Your Puppets...

I've placed my first one for sale on my website which honestly only gets 9 or 10 visits a day. I figure in about three weeks, if no one has shown any intrest, I may e-bay him or donated him to my church. There's no way that I can charge for time invested (no puppet pedigree), but I figure...

    Antron Fleece Dye Methods?

RIT says to immediately rinse the washer with hot water and bleach. I fill-er-up add bleach and run through the short cycle. Pretty easy. I don't know what the melting point of Antron is, but the h2o temp on the stove is around 190 F. (almost boiling) I've only been building for 2 years...

    Antron Fleece Dye Methods?

I've never applied a fixer and I use it in the washing machine. I mix the dye bath on the stove as instucted then add it my washing machine (set on lowest level, hottest h2o, gentle cycle) and mix it up really good. I then add my fleece. I let the cycle run for about 3 minutes, stop it for...

    Antron Fleece Dye Methods?

RIT dye works well with Antron. I used half of a pack of RIT purple dye on my newest puppet and the color is great. But the absolute best-est (which is really good) is Jacquard Acid Dyes...the color is phenominal. I have a Salmon and Pumpkin colors and I can get anywhere from a pale peach...

Buck up, little Buckaroo. Make the best of what the good Lord gives you and keep chasing that rainbow. And someday, you may have a ranch of your own, with cattle and clear running streams. Shoot, I even bet old Sparky here will be there, too...Now, get the shovel... :p
