Since the general efx thread has now turned into a drama-fest, can we please use this thread to talk about Rizzo? It's hard to filter through the other one and find news. Speaking of, any new news on Rizzo? Is there a pre-order date?
As awesome as that would be, my wallet would never allow that purchase to be made... or should I say my bank would never allow it. I'm sure my credit cards would be more than willing to front cash like that, though :p
No offense, but I don't think that Piggy was worth that much. Even when the Muppet figures were big on the secondary market. Someone may pay it somewhere down the line but if you want a faster sale, maybe consider lowering your price. Same with Dr. Teeth. The most I've seen him go for on e-Bay...
Wow, that Rizzo is fantastic!
But Kermit... why would they even put that out? He looks like his clothes are 3 sizes too big. Is Bear Man right? Did they just put the MR out and dress him up? What's the point? I can see how some people might not know but the collectors that keep up with this...
The way I see it, there are only 5 seasons and we really do know that we'll get them eventually. I hope they don't screw us over like they did with the Fraggle seasons and put season 5 in a box set only. I can't wait for 2010!
You forgot all the SS Palisades protos.

Honestly, don't just jump on the first e-Bay auction you see. That is over priced. If you have the patience, look for him every other day or so and you'll find regular auctions where you can get him for half that. For example, that Super Grover he has listed has only gone for $40-$50 in regular...
I saw all of them except for Big Bird today at Target. I even bought my daughter the Grover one. They are ok. They are incredibly hard to operate. I guess little hands are better for puppet-ing ;) For $15, I guess they are worth it, even if they do shed a little.
That is a good price, but you can get them as cheap, most of the time cheaper, on e-Bay. A lot of the vendors now have free shipping which makes it even better. I might get a cheap Gonzo and play around with him to turn him into a puppet. I've seen him go for under $100.
D'oh! Sorry, forgot. I found a pic of Palisades prototypes Guy Smiley, The Count, Ernie, Bert, Little Bird, Elmo and Oscar all next to each other in clay/plastic form. Obviously from a very early stage of their development. There are smaller pics of Cookie and a head shot of Big Bird in the top...
