Bear arrives on Disney+ The beloved series has been off the air for the past 15 years. Now all four seasons are finally available for a whole new generation.
I agree, I agree. They need to strike a balance between keeping things in Jim's life real, and not overly precious (the book "Street Gang" did a good job presenting the grit but not in any kind of sensational way), but at the same time not making a movie edgy or dark just to make money. Seeing...
Here's an Interesting article (and subsequent comments) about the Muppet Man script. Word to the wise - there is some cursing in the comments (not the main article), in case anyone is sensitive. Unfortunately, the link to the script appears to have been removed... :(
Link to article...
Sorry if this was already mentioned, but how can one view a copy of the screenplay? I agree, I'm a bit on the fence about a Jim Henson biopic. It doesn't mean that it couldn't be done, but the numbe of amazingly BAD biopics greatly outnumber the outstanding ones. (I LOVED Frida, but not...
Sweet! I'm definitely excited. Apparently now, when you walk into a karaoke bar and request Bohemian Rhapsody, DJs ask, "The Queen version or the Muppet version?" That, my friends, is history in the making.
Try using this link - it worked for me:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bohemian-Rhapsody/dp/B0030FJL5W/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dmusic&qid=1260587062&sr=8-1
Or, you can just search Muppet Bohemian Rhapsody on Amazon and it will come up. It is listed in pounds on the UK website, so appears to be UK...
NICE! Hope that they keep the quality up. These Muppet Vids are definitely gaining traction. To the point the karaoke DJs are asking if people want the Queen version or the Muppet version of Bohemian Rhapsody! That definitely says something. The Muppets are seeping more and more back into...
This was flippin' fantastic! I haven't posted here in forever (I have a baby girl now), but I simply had to add my approval! It was well-thought out, well-executed, and "Bohemian Rhapsody" and the Muppets go together like peanut butter and jelly.. :)
Like many have said before, I really enjoyed this special. It was a bit condensed, and certain plot points were a little rushed (I thought that it would have been more effective if there was more reflecting time before Kermit made up his mind to go to the North pole - it was a little abrupt)...
I just saw it on Dr. Phil's site too. I didn't think Steve's performance was bad at all - I thoroughly enjoyed it, actually! Who can blame poor Kermit for being a little stressed out - I mean interspecies relationships are awfully tricky! ;)
Hi everyone,
Sorry, I've been neglecting muppetcentral for a while. Brian Henson was not at liberty to say when DC2 will be released. When asked how long it would be until relase, he kind of smiled, looked down and said "A while." So, my guess is that we'll be lucky for it to come out in...
I just saw Brian Henson at the AFI theatre talking about the future of digital puppetry. While the focus was on the new technology Henson and his team have developed for Sid the Science Kid (which looks very high quality by the way, and has now been playing about 3 weeks on PBS), he did field...
I kinda liked "Elmo in Grouchland." Certainly a lot more than I thought I would. The concept of a "Grouchland" amused me, and I agree with everything DRtooth and others said about it. It's infinitely more interesting than Elmo's world, and has a lot more character development.
We would likely...
Yes...I interact with kids on a daily basis (sometimes it seems more like a neverending basis :insatiable: )
Anyway, we really shouldn't underestimate kids. And I still have vivid memories of being a kid myself. The thing is some kids like Elmo it's true. But think how many MORE kids would...
You know, even kids in first grade these days don't think Sesame Street is cool. Kids are actually getting older younger, and the problem with Sesame Street going younger and overusing Elmo and the like is that they are losing their audience. They're squeezing it out this way.
The other odd...
Another great Indian actress is Parminder Nagra. She played the lead in "Bend it Like Beckham" (great, great movie) and now has an important role on ER. However, when you look at her costar from "Bend it Like Beckham" Keira Knightly you can see that Keira has had A LOT more work than Parminder...
Quick question: I was watching the Emmett Otter special feature the other night, and Jerry remarked that Emmett Otter was one of two favorite productions that he has been involved with. Does anyone know what his other favorite is?
I think it is wonderful that Jerry posts here, from time to...
YES! :insatiable: Twin Peaks is kindof great - I actually have the new Gold Edition. loveit.

Too true, too true. I find the whole thing very disheartening. It's hard to put the finger on why this happens so much. Maybe some of us have gotten too comfy, too cushy... but then there are others in our country who are pushing so much energy on simply surviving, working multiple jobs...
The last Shrek movie will probably be about Shrek as an old ogre with false teeth and his crotchety donkey friend and half blind cat friend.
Everyone's already said it, but why does money almost always have to win over art? This kind of thing RUINS the original memory of the first...
