Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

The overexposure of sequels really sucks, because it damages other movies that are actually deserving of sequels. The Lego Movie was one where fans actually wanted a sequel. Paddington 2 did extremely well critically, even a bit better than it's predecessor, which itself had great reviews, but...

    When you need to rant...

I'm the same way. But we also can't definitively say that all the allegations are false either.

    When you need to rant...

    Exactly.

    When you need to rant...

IDK, I remember there being rumors about him years before this news came out. Seems like one of those ticking time bomb, open secret type things.

    Little things we've noticed

Yeah, the differences between the way Steve, Jim, and Matt shaped Kermit's head has never bothered me. However, the way some other performers shape the head can make it look really off. Like, they sometimes make Kermit's head way too flat, which is often how I identify that it's a stand-in performer

Brown Johnson: Ernie and Bert ARE Gay (if you want)

But he later changed his mind and essentially said the same thing that SW is saying now.

Fozzie Bear voicing ‘Dr. Enamel’ on Big City Greens

Oh wait, hold that thought! We need to start a new thread to discuss the episode.

Brown Johnson: Ernie and Bert ARE Gay (if you want)

Yes! You see, this is the answer they should've given to begin with.

Sesame Street Season 50 News and Rumors

But he's still on it relatively frequently. If they bothered to recast Prairie Dawn, The Two- Headed Monster, and even Mr. Johnson, i'm sure they'll do the same with him.

Sesame Street Season 50 News and Rumors

Tbh, after studying more of Peter Linz's repertoire, I would really like to see him take over Telly, as opposed to Tyler.

Sesame Street Season 50 News and Rumors

He just isn't one of the characters that sales the merch, unfortunately. His role has been reduced, but he's still on the show semi-frequently. But hey, at least we got more than 20 years where he was almost as prominent as Big Bird and Elmo, sometimes even more so. Here's a random thought...

TV Alert: Kermit, Piggy, Pepe and Beaker on Drop the Mic Wednesday January 30, 2019

Yes, I found Miss Piggy to be a lot more tolerable than in most other recent appearances. She's best when she's very confident, but not overly self-obsessed.

TV Alert: Kermit, Piggy, Pepe and Beaker on Drop the Mic Wednesday January 30, 2019

Oh, oh I see! Yeah, that would be great. I do wish they would branch out a little more with the characters they used, instead of having Miss Piggy and Kermit show up all the time.

What made you roll your eyes today thread?

I mean, i've always believed that children deserve more respect than they're given, and that their feelings should be respected more by adults. But this? Idk, I kind of see where she's coming from, but it seems a little too far. But I don't think it's as crazy as some are making it out to be...

Sesame Street Season 50 News and Rumors

One thing I love about the movies is that the SST set is always expanded and made to look more real. So maybe they can have some Maria, Bob, Luis, etc, as extras to help populate the street. One thing I would love to see is a scene where the characters walk into a more shady neighborhood and...
