Yeah, at the rate American society is devolving, it won't be long before we're all communicating through lolcat meme twitter grunts set to a dubstep autotune soundtrack with the click of a smart phone app or QR code.
But to me it shouldn't be an excuse for companies to make typical films...that "well this is where audiences are at now and the way the wind is blowing". My skin crawls when I see trailers for Garfield, Alvin, Smurfs, G-Force(and I love guinea pigs), Cat and Dogs, Hop, or 90% of most cgi kids...
Bear was the best show Disney morning for little kids ever had. And I speak totally objectively of course:) Why they think braindead un-rendered ugly "cgi" cartoons and utter garbage would appeal to toddlers more than Bear(which parents and kids LOVED in the late 90's and early 2000's) is beyond...
Pair of scissors, L or XL size black shirt, fabric glue. boom, adult male sized shirt with that image. And man what a great shirt that is. We have Dollar Tree and 98 cent stores here, but never heard of Dollar General
Given the way the economy is and how overpriced everything is, I encourage...
If there was to be yet another "classic retelling/period piece", count me out. I sat through MCC, MTI, Oz. A western? Maybe if its simply a scene of them filming a Western. Muppet films should always be set in the time they are being filmed.
1. Aint it Cool News, the #1 movie site that has championed the Muppets every step of their way, is getting their own Muppets show on youtube, starring a Muppety version of Harry Knowles http://www.aintitcool.com/node/54062
2. Jason Segal went on record today saying that he did what he needed...
I think it's also now more a political issue. I just don't like feeling pressured to buy a blu ray. I have an absolutely amazing dvd collection I've worked hard on for over 12 years. Unlike vhs, dvds last indefinitely if handled properly(most used or rental games, used cds or dvds are rarely...
Gahhhhhh. Seeing this is maddening, as this looks like the ultimate deleted scene/extra. THIS is what I was hoping the movie would have been more like. I actually envisioned a nifty office scene for a muppet film idea http://www.traileraddict.com/trailer/the-muppets/dvd-bonus-extended-scene...
You can tell Kevin reaches into this very vulnerable, stunted child like part of himself when you see his face and body language as he's performing Elmo.
The only part of the movie that made me sad...was I think he should have spent more time with his daughter. I realize he wanted Elmo to have...
Yeah it's like they merely lived in this world where the Muppets were just a 70's to early 80's thing. No Pepe, no Rizzo. Heck surprised Bobo was in it, as there was no Robin. Yes, it was crazy amazing to have Uncle Deadly as a main character and to see a lot of Behemoth, Luncheon Counter and so...
I say ratchet up the realism, seriousness, and forget about appealing to the computer generated kiddy movie demographic completely. They can go watch Garfield, Smurfs, Alvin, etc if they don't get the magic of the Muppets:)
I mean again, Muppet Movie 1979 and Muppets Take Manhattan 1984. These...
That's why it's so funny how Ernie and Bert got created. Bert totally is Oz on a lot of levels, as Ernie represents Jim. I mentioned this in the gay speculation thread, but of all the funny dichotomies reflecting the actual puppeteers, the Ernie/Bert thing is just genius.
It bothers me not if...
My gripe is that people are unwilling to acknowledge that Disney went out of their way to deliberately screw dvd owners. Even Frogboy acknowedges its a ploy to get people to give up dvds.
It's on netflix now, but I want to own the actual dvd and enjoy any features it has. Words cannot express...
Dude...they should make it like Muppets Take Manhattan. I mean I know I LOVVVE all the Murray and Ovejita skits when theyre walking around NY burroughs. I couldnt contain my excitement for a film like that!! :)
