Hi Alex,
Yes I did try swapping the hats over initially, but no luck sadly. But fortunately my hat repairs have done no damage; unless you look really closely you can't even tell that I've done anything.
I love the idea of making a fully invisible pre-bathroom Fozzie, that's brilliant...
I don't think there's anyone on these forums who doesn't wish we'd got the Sesame Street figures, they would have made a fantastic addition to the series. I'm just so glad we did get the wonderful Super Grover figure.
Just a quick update - I managed to get another Invisible Fozzie on eBay for next to nothing, and would you believe it, he had an upside down hat too! This must have been a common problem. So as I now had two, I decided to try to fix one. It was actually easier than I expected, I used a sharp...
Really? That would be great, thanks! Actually I have both Miss Piggys, so I'd be prepared to part with regular Piggy's hand mirror, if you want to do a straight swap?
I can't help you with those items, sorry, but this has made me wonder if we could use this thread as a kind of accessory swap shop, where we can post requests or spares and help each other out?
I for one am looking for Scooter's drink holder, and I have spares of all of Crazy Harry's stuff...
I just got Samuel Arrow off eBay, sealed, for £12, which I'm very pleased with. I love his hollowed out bible with a treasure map inside! The love and imagination that went into these figures really was something special wasn't it?
Sam's packaging still has the original price sticker on the...
This is just hilarious, and yet terrifying at the same time! What I don't understand though, is it looks like it's been copied off some official poster or something, so why the demented changes???
Watch film of Dr John from the 70s (such as his performance in The Band's fantastic concert film The Last Waltz) and you'll see that he is Dr Teeth :D
That never even occured to me about Floyd! Maybe I never noticed what colour he is cos most of his face is hidden behind that moustache!
Sorry to say you'd be lucky to get any two of those characters for $81, even Zoot or Lips alone for that price would be a steal. Good luck though, bargains do crop up occasionally :D
Actually it does help - I think unless loads of people had replied saying "oh it's dead easy, they just pop right out" I'd be very unlikely to risk trying it!
I wonder if I could get a scientist to reverse the polarity of Fozzie's hat... I bet that's a sentence that's never been spoken before!
Hi all,
I've just bought an Invisible Spray Fozzie on eBay for a bargain price, and I'm delighted with him, he's just beautiful. The only snag is one of his magnets has been installed the wrong way up, so his hat only stays on when it's upside down. To be honest I'm not that bothered (I'm...
Great thread! I'll do my favourite film, Alien...
Dallas - Kermit
Ripley - Miss Piggy (can just imagine her karate-chopping a xenomorph)
Ash - Bunsen Honeydew
Kane - Link Hogthrob
Lambert - Janice
Parker and Brett - obviously Waldorf and Statler
Jones - Gaffer (of course)
This is a great thread. One of my favourite easily-missed details is that Kermit has his own personalised teacup on his desk backstage, but it's clearly just an old china cup that he's written his own name on :)
For me it was the backstage playset, in a shop in Sheffield, UK, in about 2004/5. I couldn't believe something so gorgeous could exist and cost, I think, just £40. As you can imagine, I'm VERY glad I bought it, although it started off quite an expensive hobby.
Hello all, sorry if this has already been done to death on here but can anyone explain to me why some of the regular (non-variant, non-exclusive) figures are so valuable while others can be found for peanuts?
It doesn't seem to be related to the quality of the figures, as although Zoot (one of...
