That's all she said. I imagine it would be something along the lines of furry like a telly, or... wow the name of the main Muppet monster that I'm thinking of totally slipped my mind. I would have known the name 25 years ago like a drop in the hat, but now I can't. He's blue, furry, not cookie...
Guys I wantedc to stop by this thread and let ya know about a few things I heard round.
Soon they will begin facial hair,
there wil be a change to the lab coat, sounds like they will be looking into outfits that are more occupational.
If you haven't noticed the pattern for the hawaiin shirt...
Hopefully it was none of you voted "yes, money is no object" or MR is getting a clear signal now. Now with a proposed $3000 price tag, do you want a cheap copy, or the same exact materials made into the same exact Fozzie poser they use in photos? But at that price point, I'd be looking for a...
And we're back...
How many will be willing to buy Fozzie at the $800-$1000 price point? Have a pretty good idea of what's going on here, and what people are looking for. I highly doubt any other company would undertake such a dauting task after MR's license runs out. (cheap attempt to steer)
Does anyone who has a Whatnot tried to fit the clothes onto a poser? I'm considering getting Gonzo and having his tuxedo dyed black for use on Kermit. Then transferring the whatnot lounge jacket to Gonzo.
KK
For Kermit, I would've paid that much. He's the star! The face of the franchise. My friend I've had since I was 5. Glad he came out when he did, in my 30's. Now that I know how to appreciate what we have.
Peter, thank you very very much for the insight. I for one value it tremendously as being...
Well congrats are in order for them. Little more than a year? Congrats. Heck they may sell out of Gonzo too before their license even expires. If they produce a Fozzie with the same likeness as the proto, I will buy.
KK
Right, Ok I do have my facts straight still in my head. But when you say destroyed, I take that as thrown away. Do you mean taken apart for use of the factory?
I was merely commenting that imo any other matierals being added just to ease the production of the replicas for the sake of likeness...
Hold on, I thought three photo-protos were made? One visual sample, one to be taken apart for parts to be replicated at the factory, and one for promotional use?
I'm not really asking, but curious, was the parts bear already destructed for patterns without having a factory signed up?
Ok so...
I am willing and ready to dish the 1000+ for Fozzie. No doubt he's worth it. I would've believed a 899.99 price point but twith the hard times, yes 1000 or a little over sounds feasable. However I am ready to go above the $1000. Can't raise the curtain without him!
KK
That Fozzie looked great to me as well. I would want it looking like that. Fine with me. Bring on Da... BEAR!
Kevin
PS. I don't care who might have one, I know I DON'T have one, let's change that soon here MR?
I feell I should warn you new Kermit owners to watch out for the seam on the top of his head. too much posing, or in my case squishing his head up to a point trying to replicate the look of a muppeteers hand, will make the fibers start to spread. Almost leaving a split in his head. (Hence my...
Just spoke to Steve Swanson and we will be conducting our interview on Dec 30th. I though it was weird but Caroll was a bit like Santa Claus. He actually smelled like Gingerbread, made me feel like a child even more so.
Kevin
Well wouldn't MR bump up the size of the quantity then to make it cost effective to do that kind of publicity, thereby also lowering the retail price point? Do they have a policy in wanting to keep these as "collector's edition." Instead of lower price, more quantity, with more profit potential...
hey guys, sorry I haven't been around much I've had performances to deal with and vocal issues, along with rennovations to my home, etc. I just e-mailed Steve about the Muppet cast interview. So I think for the sake of keeping you interested I won't divuldge the story. You'll just have to tune...
