anyone find it creepy that there are only 2 known pictures of Johnson? Kinda adds to the mystique of his life doesn't it? I always found that neat. Anyone have any original 78's of his stuff? Or the complete box set? (I don't myself, but I think it'd be great to get into)

Thank you, everyone, for the birthday greetings. It's been a good day. Went to the library for more Dave Barry and got a George Carlin book too! (I'll be chuckling for a while, I'm sure, as the Carlin book states on the back..."Wouldn't it be great if you could make a guy's head explode just...
Hey everyone.
Sorry if I haven't been keeping up with what's going on here on the Forum, but since we moved (I know this sounds like I'm spoiled...) the dial-up connection is so slow it's hardly worth using. I just go on every once in a while to see if the world is still here and reply to my...
Well, the move went fine, our stuff arrived, and I'm in the middle of cleaning up those LPs. (Sesame Disco is first, and I'm in mid-clean now...)
I want it to sound good for everyone, as I know a lot of people haven't heard this wonderful album, and there's no way it's going to be released...
They seemed like genuinely nice people, everytime you saw them on TV or one of Al's documentaries, etc. There are a lot of interview clips with them on the Al episode of "Driven", and they seem so nice, and totally proud of their son.
So sad.
I've been a fan for over 20 years. I almost...
Tonight my 3-year-old daughter came up to me with a sock on her hand. She started smiling, and of course, I'm curious. I ask, "What?" She replied, (with the sock) "Scrap Fyap!" We played like that for a while and she seems to have a knack for it! (For a preschooler, that is!)
What a nut...
Yes.
Even though Pickwick was the distributor, they still had those great yellow Sesame Street Records labels. I'm glad, as international releases tend to be changed a lot.
We move next week, and our stuff arrives a week after that. I'll get to it when I can sift through the boxes (we're...
A lot of the early stuff was recorded at least twice, I'm sure. Once for the TV show, which was recorded in mono, and the album releases were in stereo. Beats me why they couldn't just remix the stuff, but maybe it sounded better when it was re-recorded from scratch.

I have the following from your list:
Sesame Disco
The Sesame Street Book And Record
The Muppet Show
The Muppet Movie
and I only have the 45 for the song "Strange Brew" at the moment. I wish I still had the album. It's way funnier than the first one.
I'll be cleaning these all up...
Bloopers only seem to appear on recent movies since that is a recent trend. A lot of the outtakes from the older movies may have been scrapped, since they were mistakes!!!! Nobody back then thought people would pay extra for the mistakes, I'm sure. Pity, though. You're right about the...
You wouldn't think this would be a big deal....has anyone seen that 4 disc Looney Tunes DVD? It's beautiful! If they could just do that with this material....
eric
if the website is sesameseventies.com then I would not suggest it. Her site is very well maintained, and her heart is in the right place, but the sound files are messy and contain a bad humming noise.
If anyone wants to wait a few weeks I'll have a clean version of the album for trade.
eric
No, no, that's wonderful! I just already packed the record, that's all. I'll let everyone know once I've transferred it and cleaned it up a bit, k??
thanx!!!!
eric
I'm sorry, I guess you are new to this. The forum rules state that I can't make a copy of the LP and sell it here. I'll let everyone know when I get the CD made, though, as most of my stuff is packed (we're moving Apr. 1) and it'll be available for trade.
eric
I've been meaning to convert my LP to CD for some time, mostly to clean up the clicks and pops that the poor thing has suffered over the years. What you do have to trade??
eric
Depends on what you're looking for I guess. I know that most of what I want on Quad 8 is reasonably priced (Guess Who, BTO, Paul Simon, etc.) but a couple that I'd LOVE to have always go WAY too high, like Wings' BAND ON THE RUN, and the always-in-demand Sabbath's PARANOID. Those would be...
Reversing the process...interesting! Yes, SQ is just a phase effect, so any processing should get results, of mixed variety I'm sure.
I have read that some quad8's were kind of ripoff's since they weren't discrete mixes. You definitely have to be careful when buying. You could have saved...
