It doesn't matter. They still own these companies, corporations, franchises, divisions, et al, which still makes them a conglomorate in the entertainment industry.
If the way they've handled the Muppets even through the 2011 movie (which was the result of Jason Segel practically begging them to...
And from the sounds of it, this may possibly hurt the chances of puppetry having a more prominent place in mainstream entertainment . . . even though, as I said, if it did, then it'd probably only further divide puppetry into kids only or adults only.
You know, they way our next door neighbor is always screaming at and cussing out her kids, I won't be the least bit surprised if they end up growing up into becoming drug dealers, gangbangers, thugs, and hood rats.
Y'know, with Doug being such a big fan of SEINFELD, I'm a little surprised he didn't work in some kind of reference in his TWISTER review to point out the fact that Bill Paxton's character's fiance was played by Jami Gertz, who was also the lady in the bathroom stall who refused to spare Elaine...
So I saw a really poor-made, no-budget, local, teen drinking PSA today, and it's message was a really blunt: "Drinking makes you a moron, ya moron."
Guess what I'm gonna do now? :P
We never got down into the 70s, but yes, as it turns out, the forecast was actually right for a change: August actually was below average this year. Shocking, very shocking. However, we'll be jumping back up to normal this week, back into the 90s, but at least it's just for the week; September...
Not always. Case in point: Steve Carrell. Stiff, wooden, deadpan, no emotion, no connection. Yet, he was everywhere in the late 2000s and early New Tens. Then you got the ones who are always typecast in the same roles over and over again, like Will Ferrell as arrogant, shallow, one-note, sketch...
But, do they have to continually be shoe-horned into every single mainstream comedy movie for years afterwards when practically any other lesser-known comedic actors could be given a chance to boost their careers?
Nothing against Maya Rudolph, but like many other former SNL castmembers, she's just gotten rather overrated and overused in recent years. Not to the extent of, say, Kristen Wiig or Bill Hader, but still.
I've no problems with Adele's music, just wish her other songs besides "Send My Love (To Your New Lover)" got some more exposure. I don't respect her for getting knocked up out of wedlock, though.
Lorde . . . well . . . until we actually hear her other songs besides "Royals," I'll develop a...
"Send My Love (To Your New Lover)" is perhaps Adele's most overplayed song on the radio . . . so much so, you'd assume it's her only song.
Similarly, Lorde finally has other songs, but still, "Royals" is the only song of hers you ever hear.
But, of course, as soon as Taylor $#!+ comes out with...
BRAIN: I don't think it's a good idea to show hitting on a kids show.
FRANCINE: I don't think it's a good idea to show hair-growth formula on a kids show.
Watch this video, it actually goes into the science of why most of today's modern pop music sucks:
What floors me is that a vast majority of the junk we hear today is actually written by just two guys . . . part of me finds that impressive the any one individual person can continually come up...
Even bottled water can be hit or miss: more often than not, certain bottled water actually tastes like the plastic bottles the water is kept in.
Honestly, I just drink Propel for water.
I didn't bother with any of the trailers, because everybody was complaining about how poorly-put together they were in only utilizing the raunchier moments to push the R-rating.
