I really didn't mind that. Pepe's had a lot of attention over the years, it's OK to give the other characters a chance now, lol. Plus the scene they gave him was fine. It was probably one of the first time I actually laughed at something involving him. Sometimes less is more. ;)
Lol, fair enough. The only narrative times I can think of are more ironic like, "We on The Muppet Show are very interested in puppets, for some strange reason."
Or this:
Waldorf: Fantastic, incredible, they remind me a lot of puppets.
Statler: Ugh. Puppets, I always hated puppets
Waldorf...
I will say probably my favorite part was Gonzo's first scene: "I've been wearing this under my suit for years!" Lol, Now THIS is the Gonzo I remember. It almost felt like a reassurance that the Muppets still have it, despite some set backs over the years. :concern::)
OK...here we go...
Is this movie as good as The Muppet Movie, Great Muppet Caper or Muppets Take Manhattan? No, No and No. ;)
HOWEVER, I am happy to say it's the first time in a long time that I've truly enjoyed a new Muppet movie. :)
Pros
Gonzo: "I've been wearing this under my suit for...
The press did the same thing back in the '60s when the Beatles' concert audience dwindled a bit, enough though they were still clearly bringing in huge crowds, lol. The press just needs something to talk about sometimes. But yeah our casual attitude toward money is quite scary sometimes, lol.
Yeah I mean I really don't want to blame the kids because they don't know any better. It's the parents who need to take some responsibility. They're not the only ones in the audience and it's unfair for their kid to ruin it for everyone else. Especially when it's so expensive to go to the...
Oh yeah it's definitely hard to judge online. I mean how you write isn't the same as how you speak (at least it shouldn't be, lol).
Aw thanks. :) Some of it is having OCD, I've always been hard on myself about expressing things correctly.
Yeah it's too bad the movie couldn't fit in a mention of the Muppets fans' Internet presence, lol.
Btw in my Blog entry about the new movie, I ended up talking about a lot about Walter, hehe:

I was talking to someone about this, we were saying it's more normal nowadays for people to rush to opening weekends, so the following weeks won't look so good by comparison.
Plus, in case anyone's forgotten, we are in the middle of a recession. Your average young adult can't afford multiple...
Yup, loved that. I said elsewhere that I really thought it was in line with Scooter's personality. He's not sure how to host a show so Kermit tells him to picture the audience naked. Scooter takes this a little too literally and thinks this is a requirement of hosting duties. After that's done...
