    Questions about anything

I don't know about the touchpad, but if the problem is with Windows Update, my advice would be to open your System Restore, and select whichever your most recent restore point is prior to the update, and never install that update again. This kept happening to me almost on an every other daily...

    Pet Peeves

I'm all for giving people a second chance, but if I see they're not going to change, and they remain toxic, then yes, I'll cut ties with them. But, I mean, some people can change . . . if they really want to.

    Pet Peeves

Well, I mean, I know I made a tasteless and uncalled for comment years ago on something Ryan/Prawnie posted on Facebook, and he immediately unfriended and blocked me because of it. It was totally something stupid on my part, and was something I did without thinking about it first because of a...

The New Am I The Only One Thread

As far as Baby Bear is concerned, the only time I disliked the character was up until Season 30, when they expanded the character beyond just being in a perpetual feud with Goldilocks, and actually gave him more dimension instead of being a one-dimensional fairy tale character.

    What made you think today?

Just about any show that's been on a little too long begins shifting away from its original main theme/premise/focus/what have you, and veering off into different directions.

Sesame Street Season 49 Episode 4909 - Bath Time for Blanky

I think it was mostly because Billy Barkhurst was more suited to be a voice actor than a puppeteer. Am I imagining things, or does it seem like Abby has a ever-so-slightly southern drawl whenever she talks now? No mention of using fabric softener or dryer sheets so that clothes will feel soft...

The only person I've ever felt was most qualified to be a mod around here was Beauregard, but he's not even here anymore - he's among the countless "old-timers" who just eventually moved on from MC and the drama that was plaguing it after 2009. Otherwise, he was regularly active, and had perhaps...

A lot of people seem to think I should be a mod around here, and it's flattering, but Ed has made it clear that I cannot be a mod on MC, because I've had my share of spats and squabbles with various other members in the past, so that makes me unqualified to be a mod - accordingly, I might show...

Lack of updating going into the main MC site is one of the main reasons why Ryan launched the Mindset in the first place - particularly, since MC used to be more open to fan-generated content, such as reviews, interviews, and other similar articles . . . it eventually got to a point where Phil...

The “What did you do today?” thread

To be fair, GIMP doesn't seem to be as popular an image editing program as it once was . . . and, being a free program, it lacks some of the bells and whistles other programs have. I tried it out once several years back when my old computer finally died, and I had yet to have Fireworks installed...

The 'What Song Are You Currently Listening To?' Thread

It's amazing how the harmony of this song is somehow lost when you listen on the radio or TV - but listen with headphones, and the harmony blows you away.

Early (pre-Kevin Clash) Elmo appearances (Brian Muehl and Richard Hunt)

I don't think so. Even when Snuffy started interacting with the rest of the cast and other characters, Marty still continued to perform him in a more similar vein as Jerry. Come to think of it, the improvement in Snuffy didn't seem to begin surfacing until the late 80s . . . maybe making him a...

    Questions about anything

Do NTSC and PAL apply to audio recordings in a similar manner as they do visual recordings (film and video)? For example, would a song playing on the radio in a European country play 4% faster and sound pitched-up compared to the same song playing on the radio in North America?

The “What did you do today?” thread

I had never even see that Moron Mountain Alien Fun Park playset before. Ever. Looks interesting though. And, based on video reviews, some of the playsets seemed to have interesting variations. For example, the Moron Airship playset that I have lacks any decals or sticker details inside the...

Early (pre-Kevin Clash) Elmo appearances (Brian Muehl and Richard Hunt)

Marty breathed life into both Telly and Snuffy as far as I'm concerned. Both characters were pretty much one-dimensional in the hands of their original performers: Brian's Telly was always whining and bellyaching over something, and Jerry's Snuffy was a giant Eeyore. Marty brought a broader...
