I don't mind humor on controversial subjects. Humor can be a very powerful weapon against the evils in society, as Mel Brooks has often said about his take on the Nazis. Ultimately it's the execution that makes the difference. South Park does this very well, making a seemingly bad taste joke...
I don't think the rush job is enough to worry in itself. Rush jobs don't automatically have to equal a problem. When it comes down to it, it's effort and luck. We'll just have to wait and see.
The way I see it, self expression is fine, Christian even! Tattoos aren't my way of getting there, but they're not evil or anything. If others want to get them (safely) that's cool. :)
Like I said, as far as encouraging evil, I'd worry more about things like alcohol (in excess).
Heh! Yeah you're right, you would think that if you'd only seen those two episodes, lol.
I remember I knew Wembley was kind of young and timid but I had no memory of his being indecisive. But definitely always associated Boober with laundry, lol.
My history with "Beginnings" is kind of weird. When I was a little kid I had literally 5 seconds of the episode taped on a VHS, when Gobo said, "I tell ya, Mokey, when you're wrong you're really wrong!" Lol. Beyond that I don't remember the first time I ever saw Fraggle Rock; it's like...
Oh yeah I mean you can overreact to these things certainly. The occasional sip of alcohol isn't terrible, you just have to be extremely careful. Though I have less sympathy for cigarettes at this point, they really have to go.
Lol I actually was considering saying that and I'm so glad you did it for me. I agree, if I had to choose an episode to show someone, it would be the Poobahs. :)
I personally wouldn't get a tattoo, but I don't think it's blasphemous or anything. It's a morally neutral thing as far as I can tell, neither good or bad.
Whenever I hear that song I'm taken back to the first time I heard it, which was actually on The World of Jim Henson documentary. It just doesn't get more atmospheric than that song. :jim:
Way late coming to this but I wanted to say it is really cool being able to watch Fraggle Rock in the morning before going to work, edits and all, hehe.
Well it's one of those nostalgic '80s things a lot of people at least have heard of. Plus it's been shown on the Hub lately so that's help its exposure.
Hmm, I don't know if this has anything to do with this but according to Muppet Wiki: "The ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) also periodically broadcasts Elmo's World, Global Grover and Play With Me Sesame, and has exclusive Australian broadcast rights for most Sesame Workshop...
It can sometimes mean a fear of commitment, or wanting to be able to get out of said relationship easily without owing the partner anything, this is true. But in other cases people are simply unconventional.
