Bumping this thread, because I've been learning something as of late: you know how many of Don Bluth's later movies have been really lackluster and weak in comparison to his darker, grittier, and stronger earlier movies? As it turns out, there's actually a reason for that: studio interference...
So, here's something that's going on that I'm surprised the Sesame Brats haven't tried doing before (not that I'm trying to give them any ideas or encourage them, mind you):
Bagdasarian Productions has been making another sweep on YouTube, nuking fan uploads, and terminating entire channels as...
You know what the animation of the sequel reminds me of? The original ICE AGE movie . . . and in 2002, that was considered progress, that was considered advanced (in comparison to previous efforts made by Pixar and such) . . . in 2019, it's just absolutely pathetic.
Again, this was specifically for DVD, so obviously it's not going to be theatrical-quality animation.
Nevertheless, I can't fathom how the poor performance of the original warranted any form of a sequel.
EDIT: I stand corrected. Evidently, NORM OF THE NORTH actually was a commercial success...
The girl who was Bill Murray's character's daughter in OSMOSIS JONES has, in recent years, quit acting, and relocated to my state, where she now has her own alternative rock band.
Probably because it's longer than the imposed 15-minute limit on channels that haven't already qualified for longer uploads, but not so long that nobody would want to sit through their entirety.
There apparently was a NORM OF THE NORTH sequel, but nobody even knows about it. Why doesn't anybody know about it? Because it went straight to DVD. But on top of that, plans are now also being made for two more sequels, and they're hoping those will see theatrical releases.
Now, the question...
Okay, now here's an actually helpful and useful tip: create a "best of" playlist on your channel specifically aimed at new and potentially new subscribers to give them a quick look at the best of what your channel has to offer. I may actually consider that, as really, the only playlists that I...
Chris actually serves a purpose in being Alan's assistant at Hooper's Store, much like David was to Mr. Hooper; did Mike actually serve any kind of purpose, other than just being a random teenager on the street, or one of Gordon's students?
I doubt it was for "no reason." They seemed to go through a period during the late 80s and early 90s where they were adding more and more teenagers to the street: Gina, Petey, Mike, Savion, Carlo et al. Gina, obviously, is really the only one who stuck . . . Carlo may have, but there was that...
Mike being hungry all the time was playing on the stigma/stereotype that teenagers have insatiable appetites and are always hungry. Heck, certain snack food products play up this angle in their marketing and advertisments, like pizza rolls and such.
I'm not so sure that Elmopalooza is really strictly a special. Yes, I know it was released under the 30th anniversary seal/logo, but it otherwise comes across as more of a strictly Elmo-centric special; especially when you consider that it was actually produced and taped during Season 29, as...
Once again, this is really surreal, to see that another Joseph is getting together with a sing-along for "Sing," while I'm getting other YouTube puppeteers together for the exact same thing!
Somebody telling me that I was one of their role models.
Which also feels a little weird to be told that, because honestly, who am I? How am I even a role model?
Oh yes, that's be really nice to see him return to his roots, considering his post-SS career has been in touring across the country, and even providing chereography in movies.
