Personally I thought Muppets From Space was great. Not as good as the stuff from when Jim was alive or Muppet Christmas Carol and Muppet Treasure Island, but still good. I thought Jeffrey Tambor was excellent in the movie. Bobo had a great role too, and it's that movie that made him one of my...
Actually if I remember right, he WAS in the Muppet Wizard of Oz. Kinda towards the beginning before Dorothy goes to Oz when Kermit and Miss Piggy are there I think Bean is moving a suitcase or something...
Congratulations! I'll hopefully be joining the Collector's Club myself soon. And yes, I will be ordering the Gonzo with 2 chickens set (Gonzo's my favorite :concern: )
I gotta go with Muppet Treasure Island too. I think it was the first Muppet DVD I bought and when it came on with Gonzo and Rizzo (as actual puppets! Not just some lame animation!) I was amazed! :D
There was a part where Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Thing, Lion, and Toto had to walk over a log (like a bridge) and at the other side there was Statler and Waldorf trying to make them fall off. Yes they were heckling! :boo:
As to what they were playing, I have no idea, sorry. They...
These are any Henson-related DVDs I'd love:
- The Muppet Movie, Great Muppet Caper, and Muppets Take Manhattan with better DVD releases than the ones already released
- Muppet Christmas Carol and Muppet Treasure Island in WIDESCREEN format (the menus and special features are already great...
Wow that's pretty funny now that you mention it. It's also really sad, 'cause we don't see Lips anymore (I think the latest thing I saw him in was in Muppet Christmas Carol... almost 15 years ago! :concern: :o ). I wish they'd do more with the Electric Mayhem besides having them be background...
While I love all the Muppets (*ahem* except maybe Piggy) these are my favorites in no particular order:
1. Gonzo
2. Sam the Eagle
3. All of the Electric Mayhem
4. Kermit
5. Rowlf
6. Scooter
7. Rizzo
8. Statler and Waldorf
9. Bunsen and Beaker
10. Pepe
11. Bobo
12. Johnny and Sal
I haven't seen many episodes of the Muppet Show recently, but the ones that stick out are the Steve Martin one and the Mark Hamill one (yay STAR WARS! :D )
I've never seen Muppets Tonight! but I'd love to. A lot of my favorite characters are from Muppets Tonight!, such as Johhny and Sal, Pepe, Bobo, and to an extent Dr. Phil Van Neuter.
I'm definitely buying this set! 40 bucks seems like a really good price, that's like 10 bucks a disc. I hope the original pilots and openings are included...
I wasn't super-duper impressed with the movie but I did like it. It was great to have a new Muppet TV thing. Who did Scooter's voice? Was it Brian Henson? It sounds a LOT better than it did in Very Merry Muppet Christmas. ;)
1. "Rainbow Connection"
2. "Happiness Hotel"
3. "Can You Picture That?"
4. "It's Not Easy Bein' Green"
5. "Movin' Right Along"
Heck, ALL the Muppet songs are great! :D :sing:
I'll be watching it on the 21st. The 19th is the day Star Wars comes out but I can't see it then 'cause A. I have a concert that night (I'm in the school band) and B. I wanna see it w/ my dad. He can go out Friday, which is the 20th. So I'll have my sister record it on the VCR and I'll watch it...
