My parents showed me how to tape that on our VCR when I was a kid in 1989. I still watch it every Christmas. Great musical numbers, always love Annette, and those talking trees have to be seen to be believed, lol.
Yup, I wrote a blog entry about that one, lol...
Frankly I've had enough of fans complaining when a villain isn't "complex" enough for them. Not every villain has to be some misunderstood, bleeding heart Twilight rip off, lol.
Charlie Brown's a little out of it at that point. Notice how he randomly spells out words during conversations. He's clearly been studying hard and is slightly sleep deprived, lol.
I get the impression '50s TV did have its moments of cleverness; it wasn't all conformity. What I really dislike are '50s movies, heh.
Society was better in some ways, probably because people were more prosperous money wise. Sending jobs overseas later on encouraged poverty, which encourages...
Well I guess the difference is the Easter Bunny never really developed a nuanced pop culture back story the way Santa Claus did.
As far as the religious aspect, I guess most people are more comfortable celebrating a birth than a death. Makes sense when you think about it.
Yup, that's where I knew him from, lol. I loved that movie as a kid (though I was waaaaay too young, lol).
I had heard they rejected Carrey. Well thankfully In Living Color knew better, hehe. That's where I first knew him from.
That is awesome, I love those kinds of stories. You have to...

No need to explain why the real life crooks are bad, I hear you, lol. I'm just not going to let the Grinch off the hook here, otherwise the redemption story doesn't really matter. ;)
Well I mean the Grinch was a low life crook stealing toys and decorations (and even food!) from kids (not sure how underprivileged the Who's were meant to be). It's not inaccurate. :p I mean it's cute for us the audience but it's still a really rotten thing to do. That's what makes the...
No offense but that's a bit extreme. People who have girlfriends/boyfriends talk to the opposite gender all the time. If you had a girlfriend who was that paranoid or possessive, it's not a good relationship.
Great avatar!
So yeah, Thanksgiving, well I'm looking forward to the Macy's parade tomorrow morning. One of these years I really would love to see it live.
I am grateful for a lot this year like my job, my supportive friends and family, the play I'm in and a little break through I've had in...
