Billy Porter on SS: Real or Hoax?

There's a lot of buzz going around on the internet regarding Billy Porter going to be on SS, and it's stirred up a lot of controversy, particular from, surprise-surprise, a prominent right-wing Evangelical Christian demanding that funding for the show be stopped over his appearance. But from...

Unearthing previously "lost" Sesame Street episodes

It's amazing how the Wiki has been uncovering so much footage of the Muppet Performers making live-action cameos and guest spots on the street. Seeing Richard Hunt in that suit and fake mustache reminds me of when and Madeline Kahn were bird watchers watching Big Bird.

    Gorillaz Appreciation Thread

If this is the supposed new "TV series" we were supposed to be getting, then this is . . . not really what I was expecting. . . .

The Nostalgia Critic Thread Lives Again!

I won't lie, seeing how Doug has recently come out with a video where he shares a story from his past of standing up to bullying as a kid really feels shallow and self-serving, considering all that's come to light about him and Channel Awesome in recent years (and from what I've observed...

I haven't thought about J-Lo's legs this much since I was thirteen years old.

Thank yuh. You're lookin' particular soft and fluffy, you must be using top-line fabric softener in your piggy laundry.

Sesame Street Season 50 Episode 5012 - Elmo's Good Luck Charm

Not really, but I have to say, it was a rather disorienting experience. It reminds me of how animated and bombastic Nostalgia Critic used to be back in his glory days, and then he does a crossover episode with Nostalgia Chick, and he seems so bored and listless like he just phoned it in (though...

    Remembering Caroll Spinney (December 26, 1933-December 8, 2019)

Well, I guess that answers the question as to whether or not there would be any kind of memorial service for him.

    Any Ernst Fans?

Well, back in 2007, they did try to give the Geico cavemen their own sitcom, but it sucked.

Sesame Street Season 50 Episode 5012 - Elmo's Good Luck Charm

Peter was the squirrel? I thought it was David. I didn't think much of the talk-show bit, but man, the chromakey for that one was just awful: you could see blurry blue outlines every time Big Bird's beak moved.

Sesame Street Season 50 Episode 5012 - Elmo's Good Luck Charm

I almost feel like this one was just trolling us . . . we've been commenting for a while about how there's an unusal perkiness to a lot of the performances, that everybody felt like they were just phoning it in this time: all of the kids, and even Alan felt like they were completely...

Muppet Show's Season 1 writer Jack Burns passed away at 86...

In spite of his contributions to the Muppets, I believe he'll end up going down in infamy as the guy they brought in to try and replace Barney Fife on THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW.

Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

It's been going around social media that the New Tens was the worst decade for movies in cinematic history. Given that the previous decade has been mostly nothing but sequels, prequels, sidesquels, cheapquels, remakes, reboots, rehashes, and the like, my only response is . . . NO $#!+, SHERLOCK!!
