Yeah exactly, lol. That's why I'm doing this new play. The other people in the show are great, I've worked with them before, and I know they care about me. It's just that with everyone I know, there's always this distance, separation.
Sorry to go on and on, lol.
I will have to think about joining more groups. I have already actually, it's just that either the people are more desperate than I am (like in a creepy way lol), or people are pleasant with me, but the friendship doesn't progress much. I know I don't always make the extra effort I should. And...
Lol, very true. ;)
Yeah, that's the only thing I keep coming back to as a possibility. There may be points of view I'm not considering. Otherwise, I just keep imagining a counselor as someone telling me, "Here's how to deal with being a loser better." Lol :p
Basically, at this point in my...
Serious question about counseling. I'm probably at one of the darkest periods of my life right now, in large part due to outside circumstances. I've never been more alone in my life, literally. I don't imagine a counselor can magically change those circumstances for me, so what is a counselor...
I think Disney is probably (and understandably) confused about branding at this point. The Muppet Show and the original movies weren't kiddie properties of the Pixar ilk.
Well that was half my education as well, since I went to Catholic school. You got the spiritual origins in Religion class and secular origins in History and Science class.
Really depends on the school. We read Huck Finn in Sophomore English class, but obviously talked a lot about Tom Sawyer as well, and Mark Twain's feelings on the character. And we also read The Great Gatsby the same year. But our teachers didn't choose To Kill a Mockingbird; there's just not...
Pretty much, the joke has always been that Celebrity Jeopardy (as opposed to regular Jeopardy) has to dumb things down because actors ain't exactly rocket scientists. ;)
Happy Valentine's Day, everybody! I'm waiting to see my best friend, we'll probably do something later.
As for my family, heh, holidays are an utterly fruitless endeavor with them. Not worth the effort.
Aww, that's a shame. I knew Gary Owen mainly from those wacky Dinosaur documentaries. The ones with Eric Boardman from Disney (whatever happened to him?):
Yeah, flat is a good word. Flat is what happens in your first draft. After that, you often need to find some kind of ironic contrast to make something funny.
Yeah there's a fine line there between endearingly incompetent and annoyingly incompetent! I think a lot of it depends on the attitude. Being stupid in itself isn't funny. It's the juxtaposition of how the character reacts to the damage he's causing. Beauregard's an easy going, humble sort of...
I enjoy Animated and Rescue Bots, but I admit I can get pretty defensive for G1, lol. Mainly because there are so many fans that seem to want to erase it from collective memory. Particularly the Beast Wars fans, I think they're just resentful that their show and characters never achieved that...
It feels distinctly like "Al Sharpton is annoyed the police brutality story is out of the news and is desperate to get people talking about him again." ;)
