The New What Made You Frown Today Thread

Actually, believe it or not, TN's cases have been on the decline since Christmas . . . as a matter of fact, we just went through a three-day period with no new COVID cases, which is the longest since the pandemic has began.

    Who are these Muppets?

N is indeed the Newsman (that's his name), while X is a creature that is actually known as a Stalk, and there were two of them, a yellow one and a pink one, seen in a sketch from the SEX AND VIOLENCE pilot:

The new What Made You Smile Today thread

Seeing a blue bird. I know that seems insignificant, but blue birds aren't that common in this area (blue jays, however, are a totally different story), and this is the first time I've actually seen one in my neighborhood in all the nine years I've lived here.

The real reason why Bear ended

I mean most kids shows (on cable at least) tend to last on average 52 episodes, and BITBBH lasted over twice that many . . . that's an awful lot for just a kids show, especially when you take reruns and such into consideration.

    The Best/Worst Song Covers Thread

I had no idea that Johnny Rivers's "The Seventh Son" was actually a cover, because it was the only version I had ever heard, but after hearing the original version for the first time tonight, I have to say Johnny's version is so much better than the original: his cover is lively, catchy...

It's some denomination I actually had never heard of before. Nine-something, I can't remember . . . Nine Points, Nine Marks, something like that.

You Ever Notice...and What's the Deal...

I mean it doesn't seem to matter, as long as a character gets wet, their completely sick afterwards.

You Ever Notice...and What's the Deal...

So what's the deal with fiction always having characters fall deathly ill with a flu or something just because they get wet? Like if a character gets caught out in the rain, or falls into a body of water (pool, lake, stream), or gets splashed by a puddle of some kind, the very next day they're...

The New What Made You Frown Today Thread

Strange thing is, I mentioned to her maybe last year I've been noticing in spite of taking my blood pressure medication every day that my neck seems to throb unusually at night - I wasn't sure if maybe it was some kind of heart disease (which I know fat people are prone to) or palpatations or...

You Ever Notice...and What's the Deal...

As it turns out too, he was kind of notorious for ripping off other artists as well . . . the video for "Thriller" was actually pretty much lifted from the video for Ray Parker, Jr.'s "The Other Woman," which was actually banned from airwaves because said other woman in the video was white, but...

The New What Made You Frown Today Thread

My sleep has really been disrupted over the last couple of weeks - either I can't fall asleep because the veins in my neck won't stop pounding or throbbing, or there's been a couple of nights where I've woken up to pain across my chest and shooting down into my upper arm. My annual physical...
