Matt has proven himself to be an incredibly versatile and well-rounded performer, and has really risen in the ranks of the performers on both sides of the equation (Classic Muppets and Sesame) in recent years, so it really comes as no surprise to me that he was selected to perform Kermit.
Now...
I honestly have seen very little of people complaining about Matt performing Kermit, if anything, I've seen just the reverse, I've seen more people praising his performances as Kermit than I have people wanting Steve to be brought back . . . and, generally speaking, I've seen very little of this...
The Applebee's commercials don't bother me too much, if only because there are some rather fine lookin' females in there, but I will say it does kind of feel like it also cries of desperation and cheapness by basically just using people's trendy little TikToks and such set to an annoying little...
I'm still dealing with froggin booklice and springtails scampering across my ceiling, like, go the frog away already, it's September, your time is over!
Dang they've been particularly invasive this year!
I gotta be honest, Twitter has become even more of an eye-opener for me lately . . . when I see these "stan" accounts on Twitter and such, I definitely understand now why people found my obsessive fawning over and posting about Kathy Greenwood so many ages and moons ago so froggin' annoying...
Got caught is a mega downpour today, the rain was coming down so fast and so hard, visibility was almost at zero, so I pulled over into a parking lot and waited it out for a few minutes before I attempted to keep driving.
For whatever reason, Alex and Maria have been quite the Ensemble Darkhorses in the Arthur fandom for a loooong time - so much so that it's what inspired Greg Bailey to pitch the episode "Maria Speaks," since he was fully aware that many fans have been speculating for many years why we've never...
Meanwhile, brand-name Jell-O has shot up; what used to be 88 cents a box is now like nearly a buck and a half.
But hey, once upon a time, not only did Hogan and his men hawk Jell-O with Carol Channing, they also hawked Drrrrream Whip as well!
Oh yeah, and all you little springtails and book lice that are still scurrying around on my ceilings and walls? Again, it's September, you can go away already.
I know people talk about dabbing grease off of a pizza is seen at effeminate and queer, but last night I realized just how glad I am I do it anyway, because I ended up eating some particularly greasy and oily pizza, and man, I did not feel good later in the night . . . also probably didn't help...
That I already knew, but then again, CCR is pretty big down here in the south, so their version is far more common down here than Ike and Tina Turner's cover.
Trust me, kids today have that reaction to even a modern cordless landline phone. I was sitting in the bank one day recently and a little kid was looking at a poster that had a stock image of such, to which he asked his mom (who was about my age, if maybe not just a little old) what it was, and...
I cannot believe I had no idea "With a Little Help From my Friends" was originated by The Beatles! I've never even heard their version before, I've just always heard Joe Cocker's version, and I've always associated that song with him. Those harmonious backing vocals, though.
