Maybe I've confused the thread.I know you are talking about a sculpture that is flocked and has Kermit sitting on a log.I mentioned the big Kermit figure as a reference to size and if it may be the same sculptor? The big Kermit is mainly resin with a felt collar. The sculpt you have seen is...
How large is Kermit? Half scale like the big Kermit figure sitting on the column base or puppet size? How much were they?Any gone on ebay yet? I wonder who sculpted the big figure Kermit and if it is the same person who did Kermit sitting on the log?
These dolls were made by Igel.I'm pretty sure Gonzo was made, but all the 50 inches muppet dolls were made in very limited quantities-300 or less. There was also Statler and Waldorf.Try sending a want list to Top Cat in the Netherlands artitex@iae.nl
good luck
I got Wilkin and Wonkin puppets off ebay in 2002 for $424.99(U.S.) They were made in 1958, so if they were latex, they would be history. They are made from vinyl.Wilkins is in great shape but Wonkins looks like he may have been repainted or the colour has gone funny.
I sent a 30 second promo of my vent dummy that encouraged you Americans to vote during the last Presidential Election, to VH1 (MTV) only to have it get lost in their mailroom, and then the whole project got cancelled. So much for my break into American TV!!!
Thanks for clearing that up and for the info.Who knows what characters he could of gone on to do.He seemed to stop when Frank Oz joined, so hyperthetically if Frank hadnt of joined, Jerry Juhl could of ended up being the performer for Miss Piggy, Fozzie, Animal, Sam the Eagle,.......etc:cool:
Hey Laszlo,
How about a 1:1 scale Hoggle head(with real hair) and hands, so I can make a soft body Hoggle with real clothes?
By the way, I couldnt see why you cant work out of Switzerland to American or Worldwide toy/film companies. With the internet and postal service, anything is possible!!!
Thanks, AAO.I found a few sites. It's amazing the different interputations you get.Loolking at one site, you think there is just large cut outs on the wall. Then you look at other sites and you see pictures of box props and then later, pictures of a Swine Trek model.I am really amazed that people...
Bear,How can I get copies of the Muppet prop pics at WDW?Would love to see them.I visited MGM when they had "Here Come The Muppets" Stage Show but Muppet Vision 3D was still getting built.
I have always wanted a Muppet to live with me.I could never get the actual thing,so this is the next best.I am against substitute performers but a lot of people are blaming this as a Disney thing. The Jim Henson company have done this.Miss Piggy for example was Richard Hunt for the first season...
I cant do it acurately, but I can get the ball rolling.Looking at a group standing picture(on the back of the 1:64 Nascar stock car)-Waldorf is just a smidgion shorter than Miss Piggy,so he would nearly be 3 feet tall.Waldolf is about a head taller. My trick of getting scales is to focus on...
