Bear arrives on Disney+ The beloved series has been off the air for the past 15 years. Now all four seasons are finally available for a whole new generation.
As much as I love The Simspsons, I have no interest in the new episodes. I watch the new Halloween ones, but that's usually it.
The most striking thing I've noticed about newer episodes is Marge's voice; Julie Kavner really cannot sound at all like she used to.
Yeah. There was an early episode (https://muppet.fandom.com/wiki/Episode_0227) where Mr. Hooper's doctor recommends he take things easy, thus hires Cookie Monster to help at the store to give him a little time off. One could assume once Tom/David come along, he'd still be doing that.
Yeah, that's about it.
Also of note: season 26 appears to be first season to not have any new material by Frank at all, aside from a couple of holdover segments from season 25 (judging by the dates, I'm guessing he was deep in production on The Indian in the Cupboard at the time).
EDIT...
Yeah. I'm sure they could have gotten Jim and Frank for a street plot, but in the time it would take for one of those, they could've shot like 5 or 6 E&B pieces to sprinkle in several episodes rather than limiting their involvement to just one.
I doubt he, or any other of Frank's characters, made any appearances. We might uncover something, but it really seems like back in those days, there weren't extra puppeteers just performing established characters to just hang out in the background. There's an episode where Snuffy gets a postcard...
A few new details about Elmo's talk show:

-An episode will be shared as a free preview next Thursday, May 21, on YouTube
Per the press release about the HBO Max deal:
Beginning with season 51, Sesame Street will premiere on HBO Max and then continue to air for free on PBS KIDS. Newly commissioned HBO Max content will also be made available to PBS KIDS after premiering on HBO Max.
I haven't finished that interview, but I heard that tidbit. Doesn't quite explain why they didn't shoot any for this season (or why they've pretty much only been showing Abby's Amazing Adventures instead).
I mean, who cares why Rizzo is there? For the three 90s movies, characters with no performer yet were just there to be part of the crowd. This is the same thing.
