The Henson Company and Sony owned MTM, MFS and Kermit's Swamp Years 50/50. When Disney bought the Muppets, they received Henson's share in the film so they do own the rights to the film, but Sony owns the distribution rights. So if Disney wanted to show MTM on Disney Channel, they can, they just...
Most Entertaining:
The Milton Berle episode. He was great and the backstage plot was great, too. Could watch that one over and over.
Most Disappointing:
Cleo Laine! Ughhh... she dosen't even do anything outside of her songs and her songs are the most boring parts of the episode! I don't even...
Wow, Frank really swears as much as an episode of "South Park". :concern: Still a great interview nonetheless. I'm not seeing "Death at a Funeral" in theaters but it's still more than great to see Frank coming back into the spotlight.
Really? I knew about the Columbus screenings but I didn't think there were no worthwhile guests.
BTW, not to give too much away, but I told an art house theater near where I live about this tour (the staff there are apparently big Muppet fans, they've shown MTI, MTM, MFS and a few other...
Wait a second, I thought the original Rubber Duckie was on Vol. 1? What do you mean?
Can't wait for this DVD now. Between this and the Looney Tunes Golden Collection 5, this is going to be one expensive fall.
All the tour spots are pretty much confirmed besides one of them:
09/07/07 - 11/25/07: Arkansas Arts Center (Little Rock, AR)
12/15/07 - 03/09/08: Arizona Museum for Youth (Mesa, AZ)
03/29/08 - 06/22/08: Louisiana Art and Science Museum (Baton Rouge, LA)
07/12/08 - 10/05/08: International...
Yeah, but compared to Huntington, this is only like a very bad highlights reel. If it was all in one weekend it would be worth it. But for me, I have to drive nearly 6 hours to go there, see one movie and drive back. It's not worth it, unless they have a cool guest of some sort.
Yeah, I remember the Ebay auction, but I don't think anyone actually bought it. But I guess I could be wrong. :o Here's a rough translation of the page from Babel Fish (it's in Dutch if anyone cares):
"Semi-live report of the traveltravel travel of Greet and at: with the car of washington D.C...
It's too bad the site got taken down but thank goodness I saved most of the MP3's from your site. I wish you good luck with hopefully starting up something a little different in the future. :sympathy:
Yeah, I looked into it: here is basically what is planned for that event:
The Muppet Movie
- Sunday, November 26, 2:00pm
The Great Muppet Caper (with Time Piece as a short before the movie)
- Sunday, December 3, 2:00pm
The Muppets Take Manhattan
- Sunday, December 10, 2:00pm and 7:00pm...
It was a small display at the Huntington Arts Council in Long Island during the Muppets, Music & Magic event. They also had a few non-Henson puppets there, too.
As for the Electric Mayhem bus, I have a feeling that might have been a car show of some sort. To my knowledge, it's still owned by...
I'd love to see A Walking Tour of Sesame Street on this set, but I doubt anything pre-1974 would be on volume 2. They probably want to focus on '74-'79 exclusively with this set. And I don't think Sesame Workshop owns the rights to Julie on Sesame Street or A Special Sesame Street Christmas, but...
Well, I'm not much of a Playhouse Disney viewer outside of Bear but it didn't seem that there was too much Bear as I had expected. The rest of the show is okay but the BITBBH parts are the only parts I care about.
Here's just an idea...
This is just an idea I had god forbid the sky does fall on September 1. How about we migrate over to www.dailymotion.com? Another forum I go to uses this website all the time to post stuff in their blogs and I think this is a much better site then YouTube because they are...
