Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
I think the continuation of this thread proves otherwise, besides finger pointing doesn't exactly solve anything either. Right now, I think it's the nostalgia of the Muppets that is holding out their appeal. Like Luke said; more isn't necessarily better. I understand and appreciate that the...
I'm all about comics. Mostly I'm a Marvel man because DC tends to have story lines that include way too many dimensional portal storylines that are hard to follow. I was big into DC until they temporarily changed Supes outfit to that "Electric Blue" fiasco. However I just started picking up the...
Well I think it's obvious MC is my favorite, because of the fans. TP for the most recent updates and news, the Kermitage for some really cool pics and the Complete Henson Database for the most comprehensive list of Muppets and puppeteers.
Heh-he... you said "poo" ;) I have to be honest about the Digimon thing, I never caught the actual show, not on purpose, I really wanted to see it, I just wasn't around when it was on, but one day I caught the movie on a lunch break and I thought the animation rocked, so I went out and bought...
Well... it's the 19th day of the year, and Christmas is the 359th day of the year, but the holiday season officially starts on black Friday, which is the 328th day of the year, so that means 309 days till the decorations go back up! :excited: I can wait.
We just took our tree and decorations down Monday. My wife was happy to have the apartment back to normal, and I thought I 'd be more disappointed, but in truth; it's the whole Christmas spirit, the atmosphere I miss. Basically I miss everyone else's decorations, especially the mall. :sympathy:
I've read several posts in the past that many people think Frank only has two voices that he manipulates, and while I see their point, I find several things very interesting:
• Frank wouldn't perform any voices in the begining because he believed he couldn't.
• Frank wasn't crazy about singing...
:o :o :o Luke, I'm sooooo sorry, buddy. This is the first time I've been online at all since last Friday. I e-mailed you first thing this morning, man. I'll check MSN later and call you too.
Hey everyone, just got here! I had a nice long birthday weekend with my family so that's why I haven't said such a big THANK YOU!!! You all really made me smile so much! THANK YOU EV'RY BOD-EEEEEE! Youse' guys are the greatest and it was a nice surprise to come back and read all these wonderful...
Apparently that's the Frank Oz Muppet. I had to ask that same question here once too thinking it was a Dave Goelz Muppet or something. Thing is, Frank doesn't, nor ever did have red hair!
That and I think the Muppets are a huge conglomorate compared to Lamb Chop. I doubt Lamb Chop ever reached the world-wide audience the Muppets did as well as I don't think LC even got close to being multimillion dollar assetts like the Muppets.
So what I'm getting from all of your posts is that Disney isn't realizing the full potemtial of the Muppets because they're uncertain of their popularity and marketability. If the Muppets were to come out with a really good strong show (is that rreality show still gonna' air, or what?) or even a...
